Inspiring Conversations with Felicia Schmitz of Schmitz Aesthetics

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Felicia Schmitz.

Felicia Schmitz

Hi Felicia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I originally wanted to get into nursing school in 2008 and went to 2 years of school for that and then decided that wasn’t my route.

I quickly enrolled in Esthetics school in 2010, graduated in 8 ish months, and I’ve been an esthetician ever since. I moved to Colorado in 2015 and opened my solo business in 2021.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
For the most part, it has been a smooth road. I’ve said yes to most things along the way, and it’s directed me exactly where I needed to be, which is on my own to be as creative as I want to be.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Schmitz Aethetics is known for our corrective – spa-like – facials. ” Where dermatology meets day spa” Is a term I’ve been using to describe what we do. We are not dermatologists, but we do corrective treatments paired with a relaxing facial.

— I would say what sets me apart from other estheticians is my honesty, friendship, and massage techniques. I studied relaxation massage therapy in school, and I’ve always wanted it to be a part of my practice. I think it’s one of the more important parts of the treatment.

— What I am most proud of brand-wise is that I have maintained consistency within the result-based approach to a day spa facial.

What I offer at Schmitz Aesthetics is completely customized to YOUR SKIN NEEDS THE DAY I SEE YOU. No facial has a set protocol. We believe that each time you come in, you can be completely different, so we want to assess it on the day of the day to achieve the best results. So, all of our facials are based on time, and we customize them for you that day.

What makes you happy?
My family, husband Jeremy, and son, Owen (he’s 4), iced matcha, camping with friends, pilates, and organizing my house.

— all of these things make me feel grounded when life feels crazy.
