Rising Stars: Meet Jessica Luann of Breckenridge, CO

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Luann.

Hi Jessica, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Taking it back to 2018, my career started in the adventure girlie realm — creating content for outdoor industry brands for social and web! It was just a side gig as I was finishing my bachelors at MSU Denver. Fast forward to 2020, I was let go of my lead barista gig at a brunch spot in the city. That’s when I turned to my creative outlet and hit the ground running.

Full-time freelance has been a whirlwind of amazing opportunities — UGC content creation, social media management, email marketing turned high-level campaign producing for outdoor-oriented brands travel agencies along with wedding photography, I’ve truly done it all.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being an entrepreneur is never a smooth road, and if you say it is, you’re lying! However, I’ve seen a huge shift in the creative industry where it used to be one man for themselves. Now, there’s community camaraderie where we are all here to help each other. This has been the most fun to be part of.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My specialty is intimate weddings in Colorado up to 30 guests and is what I’m most known for. The other half of my business is in commercial; producing high-level campaigns for outdoor-oriented brands travel agencies alike. It’s a beautiful blend of capturing love stories and curating digital assets that set you apart in the online space.

I’m most proud of blending the two.

What makes you happy?
Sunshine, my scruffy pup Remi, my lover and business partner Ian who specializes in videography, the mountains, my family, and friends who feel like family. Need I say more?
