Meet Jordan Henderson of Lee Creative LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Henderson.

Jordan Henderson

Hi Jordan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After trials and tribulations with the ever-changing landscape of the economy and tech world, I launched my business full-time in March of 2023.

I started freelance marketing for small businesses when the global pandemic hit in 2020. Several business owners reached out to me needing help running their social media accounts, needing an updated logo, a new website, and more.

I have always been very creative and passionate about marketing from learning photography at a young age to creating designs in Photoshop while I was in high school.

With both of my parents also being entrepreneurs, I always knew running my own business was something I wanted to do. It was practically in my DNA to start something from the ground up because I watched my mother and father do the same growing up. They are my biggest supporters, and I learned what it means to have a strong work ethic, treat people with respect, and go after things you are most passionate about.

Looking back on the past year, it’s been amazing to see how rejection turned out to be my biggest redirection. A little over a year ago, I was dealing with my second corporate job layoff over the span of one year. It was devastating as a young woman trying to establish herself as a corporate marketer.

That’s when I made the bold choice to go all-in on my freelance business and pursue it full-time.

Reflecting on the past year, it’s truly remarkable to witness the growth and success of Lee Creative, LLC. Despite the challenges posed by economic shifts and technological changes, my commitment to my business and my dreams has only deepened. I now have four amazing team members, an amazing client base whom I love connecting with daily, and real-world data to establish my business’ credibility.

As I look forward, the growth of Lee Creative is a testament to the resilience of small businesses alike and the power of community in this competitive industry. Exciting times lie ahead for my team and I, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the success of small businesses here in Denver and across the US!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not! In this business you have to pivot on the fly, stand up for yourself, and you can oftentimes deal with a lot of people who don’t have the same heart as you. A lot of people who “seek” marketing help never even have the intention to actually work with you and basically want to hear what you have to say, your strategies, and plan so that they can take it and do it themselves. It’s definitely hard to navigate at times!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Lee Creative LLC?
We are female owned and operated and serve small to medium sized businesses, solopreneurs, etc.

I am the owner and founder and graduated from Mississippi State University where I studied digital marketing and entrepreneurship. Lee Creative specializes in social media management, logos and branding, web design, online advertising, and more!

Our bread and butter of our services is our full service social media management. We have a very different approach that differs us from most agencies and always keep the client at the center of our work. We have three different social media packages to choose from also with add-on services available if you’re interested in more than just social media management.

I think I am most proud of actually starting. A lot of people have ideas, but they never get them off the ground, and that’s half the battle. I feel so grateful for the place I am in now and I’m proud of the work we create, the results we produce, and the clientele we have been able to get. We work with a lot of different industries and it’s amazing getting to learn new things from new businesses every day!

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I am in a lot of Denver Women in Business Networking Groups on Facebook and that has lead me to find my business coach, advice, as well as leads. I also would encourage anyone to find someone in their industry to see if they are also in any networking groups and they can attend a visitor day. I have attended a few of those and met some really awesome people from them!
