Inspiring Conversations with Wendy English of Morning Glory Studios – Beautiful Books

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy English

Hi Wendy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi there! I am a new author inspired by beautiful flowers in my garden as well as darling children in the preschool I oversee. I was at a women’s retreat several years ago and met another author who inspired me to start writing and publishing what was in my head and heart.
This was the beginning ‘Morning Glory Studios’ and I am loving the jouney! Each watercolor flower book weaves beauty and faith with flower varieties and scripture. The children’s books are often inspired by a child who is lacking confidence, needing a touch of joy and so on. That leads us to morning glories… my favorite flower that blooms each morning fresh and new, like the mercy we recieve from above.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The stuggles are real. Knowing if it’s a hobby or something to share with the world, as well as how to market are a few struggles that are challenging. But the books’ messages are one of hope and strength which we all so desperately need. Being a creative with different potential directions is another challenge. I am presently working on recoring music as well as botanical jewelry.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I specialize in inspirational watercolor flower books as well as darling faith-based children’s books with rhyme, colorful illustrations and creative follow up activities. These books are great gifts as well as keepsakes with content that is meaningful and memorable.
Morning Glory Studios was inspired by my need for fresh grace each day and a scripture that reminds me that ‘God’s mercies are new every morning.’

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Bethel Jiricek, with Green Eyed Grace, has been a creative consultant for me on this journey. She was the first to show me the next steps and share what she’s learned. I love it when we can support each other on our jouneys.
