Hi TraViseona, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is TraViseona Robinson, known as Jai or ‘Bella’, and I’m the owner of Bella Travels Company, your personal certified travel professional. My passion for travel began at an early age, when I would travel frequently with my aunt! I’ve always been a planner since I was a kid. You know the group’s well-organized friend who meticulously plans everything? That’s me! I’ve been able to organize multiple great vacations because I’m detail-oriented and thoroughly grasp the ins and outs of trip planning. Indeed, I’ve organized so many wonderful vacations that I’ve decided to open my own travel business in May of 2022! It has truly been a transformative experience that has brought me an incredible influx of clientele and opened doors I once only dreamed of. Every day, I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way, and I can’t help but reflect on how far I’ve come. The connections I’ve made and the experiences I’ve been able to offer have exceeded my expectations, and I’m filled with gratitude for all the support along the way.

As I reflect on my journey as a travel professional, I wanted to share some insights into the realities of this rewarding yet challenging field.

It’s important to acknowledge that the road hasn’t always been smooth. I’ve faced my fair share of struggles, from natural disasters that have affected bookings to instances where suppliers have not been as helpful as I had hoped. There have been days when their systems have gone down, leaving me navigating unexpected hurdles.

Despite these challenges, I’ve learned resilience and adaptability, which have only strengthened my commitment to providing the best service possible for my clients. Each obstacle has taught me valuable lessons that I carry forward in my work.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
The idea of a “travel agent” being an older, more traditional figure is definitely a common stereotype. What surprises them—and what many don’t realize—is that I’m actually a Gen Z travel professional.
