Meet Daniel Logan of El Paso County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Logan.

Daniel Logan

Hi Daniel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I got out of the Air Force in 2019 and went to art school where I gained my bachelors in Illustration. After graduating I became a full-time working artist. Primarily selling my paintings, but I also do a lot of freelance work and teaching as well. I’ve made helping the community through art a priority of mine because I know just how impactful it can be. Becoming an artist has been a lot of hard work but is the best thing I could of done.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an entrepreneur of any kind is a lot of hard work. What can make being an artist difficult is that since it’s a road less traveled it’s more complicated to navigate. Things like taxes or even knowing what to charge your customers can be a scary thing to figure out, but once you have the knowledge you need it’s as easy as riding a bike.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My art is so important to me because this is me exposing my art and what I love to the world. I paint the beauty that I see in the world through my own lenses. What sets me apart is that I am willing to put myself in uncomfortable positions to learn and create more of a positive outcome for my art and my business as a whole. I’m proud that I can share my love for art with the world and see the smile that it puts on people’s faces.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success to me is having my bills paid by do something that I love.
