Meet Tasha Agnew of Tasha Agnew Interiors

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasha Agnew

Hi Tasha, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
From Charleston, SC, I moved to Denver Sept 1, 2023. My journey to Colorado began over a couple of decades with the desire to live out west. I wasn’t sure where out west, but somewhere near the mountains. I’m an avid skier & lover of all things winter! One day in April 2023, I did a google search of best places to live for being over 50 & single. Denver came up #6 on a list I found. I went to bed thinking about it, woke up thinking about it, then decided to pursue the idea. Came out to explore Denver several times over the next couple of months, and by mid July, I put my home in Charleston, SC on the market. Put it on the market July 14th, had a cash buyer by the 17th & the closing was three weeks later on Aug 8th! It was crazy!!
Packed up my house, sold a lot of stuff, had movers load me into a uhaul, then made the trek across country by myself. I have one son who is 24 years old, currently a PhD candidate at Dartmouth College….so I knew if I wanted to do this, I was doing this alone.
I settled in Wash Park & absolutely love it. It has been amazing to spend so much time in the park—an absolute haven for me—that park is near & dear to my heart.
Since moving here, I’ve made so many friends, skied so many days, done so many fun things, explored so many areas, etc. I truly love Denver & Colorado. Once getting here, I’ve never looked back.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a fun journey. Back east I had a lot more clients than I do here in Denver, but I’m still new living here, and am trying to grow my business.
One struggle I’ve found is that a lot of people are intimidated by reaching out for help within their homes. They know they want it better & more cohesive, but they are scared of the cost involved with hiring a designer / interior stylist. I always try to stress that I work within all budgets. No budget is too small. If they only need a couple of hours of my time, that will still create a better result than not hiring me at all. I can help them in many ways in just a couple of hours.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Hello, my name is Tasha Agnew, and I’m an interior stylist based in Denver, Colorado. My journey into interior styling began during my years as a stay-at-home mom in Charleston, West Virginia, where I honed my natural talent for creating inviting, well-decorated spaces. Friends and family often encouraged me to pursue this as a career, noting my eye for design and knack for turning houses into cozy, personalized homes.

As my son grew older and gained independence, I decided to embrace this calling. What began as a hobby quickly evolved into a fulfilling business. After my son left for college, I embarked on new adventures, moving first to Charleston, South Carolina in 2020, and later fulfilling a lifelong dream to live out west, settling in Denver in 2023.

Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of helping homeowners in both Charlestons—and now in Denver—transform their spaces into beautiful, functional havens. I’m passionate about color, the thoughtful placement of furnishings, and the details that tie a room together. Above all, I love creating spaces that evoke warmth, comfort, and, most importantly, coziness.

For me, a home should be your sanctuary—the place you can’t wait to return to. Whether you’re in Denver or elsewhere in the United States, I’m here to help make your space feel like the coziest place on earth. I offer one-hour in-home consultations for clients in the Denver area and virtual consultations for clients nationwide.

I believe everyone deserves a home they love, regardless of budget. Even if we only spend an hour together, I’m confident that your space will feel more beautiful, inviting, and uniquely yours by the time we’re done.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
During the Covid crisis it was difficult to get home interior items. The supply chain became very limited. Through all of it, though, I learned that if you want something specific, it was worth waiting for. Luckily, today is back to normal.
