Today we’d like to introduce you to Aleesha Thomas
Aleesha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started blogging five years ago, sharing outfit ideas and lifestyle content as a way to get creative while working a desk job in public relations. My love for writing and weddings helped to become a contributing writer for Martha Stewart Weddings and a bridal dress stylist at Emma & Grace Bridal in downtown Denver. As my life and family grew, I now share about our lives in Colorado, traveling, home decor, parenting and more. I have over 48,000 followers across all of my social platforms that I share my little corner of the internet with. I also own a digital download Etsy shop called CohesiveCreatives specializing in prints for wall decor and art.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing is ever easy without some hard work and dedication. With three kids, it’s a struggle to stay consistent on the internet while also feeling present in their lives. I’m sure most working moms feel this way. I’m thankful to have found platforms that have allowed me to work from home and be able to volunteer at my kids’ schools. I’m also grateful to my husband Johnny, also a local Denver business owner and coach, who supports my goals and helps to pick up the extra load so that I can achieve my dreams too. Our faith in God has made it so that we are successful in both our business endeavors and personal life.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Online, I share lifestyle content featuring my family, our day-to-day lives, recipes, beauty, travel, home decor, outfit styling and more. I have had amazing brand deals with notable companies like Neutrogena, Wet n Wild Beauty, Pink Blush Maternity, Crisp + Green, Shop Impressions Boutique, Redken, Carvana, Fabletics, Dunkin’ Donuts, Solly Baby Wraps, Cruze Fitness, Lovesac, Sam’s Club, Tide and more.
I also own an Etsy shop called CohesiveCreatives selling digital downloads for wall art.
To further my writing capabilities and love for weddings (and all things love!) I am also a former bridal contributor to Martha Stewart Weddings.
I was also signed with Wilhelmina Denver as a model and have had the opportunity to shoot with many photographers around the Denver metro area.
I’m proud to be able to stay home with my kids while building an online community of followers that take interest in my life. It’s given me the freedom to be my own boss while being the best mom I can be to my 3 kids.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My mom always made holidays a big deal in our house. Not just the big ones like Christmas and Thanksgiving, but Valentines Day, St. Patrick’s Day, birthdays and more. She’d decorate the house and make special themed meals. I come from a really big family in Swartz Creek, Michigan and we’d always have parties for any occasion just to be together. I hope I can do that for my family in the future too.
