Hidden Gems: Meet Elizabeth Haizlip of Energy Evolved

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Haizlip.

Hi Elizabeth , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve had a passion for health and fitness from a young age, which led me to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science in college. I also played college soccer, which further fueled my love for physical health. However, after 2020, I found myself struggling with my own health issues. Despite being a healthy individual who worked out regularly and had a relatively healthy diet, I couldn’t get answers from doctors about what was going on. That’s when I decided to pivot into gut health.

I was fortunate to find a dietitian who helped me relearn everything I knew about food and gut health. This guidance gave me the grip I needed on my own life and sparked a new passion to help others facing similar struggles.

I pursued my master’s in Nutrition Therapy at the Nutrition Therapy Institute, which further deepened my understanding of holistic health. After graduating, I started my business and have been loving every moment of it. I’m now building a small community in Denver through workshops, and I’m excited to continue expanding and helping others achieve their health goals.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My main obstacle was my health, which ultimately led me to quit my personal training job. I was passing out after 20-minute workouts and waking up on the ground, knowing something was seriously wrong. This was a huge moment for me—I had never even considered quitting personal training. I felt like I had just wasted four years on a degree I could no longer physically or mentally handle. The thought of walking away was terrifying.

My dietitian reassured me it was only temporary, but my body wouldn’t heal unless I took that first step forward. I now offer personal training in conjunction with nutrition guidance, so that part of me never left—but I’m grateful I didn’t give up.

Going back to school during 2020 felt crazy, but I found the perfect place that truly aligned with me. It took a lot of hard work, but that career pivot made the biggest impact on my life. Without it, I wouldn’t have the business I have today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Energy Evolved ?
I run a holistic wellness business online and run workshops in Denver, focused on helping individuals regain their health and energy through personalized, sustainable practices.

I specialize in offering personalized consultations and programs that address mind-body health. My approach focuses on the belief that the body functions as a whole, and we must identify and address root causes, whether that’s related to hormones, gut health, period pain, or general wellness. I’m known for my ability to create sustainable habits that help people restore balance in their lives, with a focus on hormone balance, gut health, and overall well-being.

What Sets Me Apart:
I pride myself on offering customized solutions, as I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all approaches. My month-to-month program ($200 value) includes personalized nutrition guidance, supplement and herb recommendations, lifestyle advice, custom workouts, and weekly check-ins. This allows for continuous adjustments based on progress, ensuring the program evolves with your unique needs.

In addition to individual consultations, I collaborate with my friend MJ, a certified yoga instructor, to host monthly workshops. These workshops combine the power of yoga, mindfulness, and nutrition to help our community achieve a harmonious balance between mind and body.

I’m also deeply honored to support my friend Ashlyn Bugbee with her transformative yoga retreats. These retreats were pivotal in my own journey, and I’m passionate about helping others experience the life-changing impact they had on me. Why My Brand Stands Out:
What sets my brand apart is the personalized, non-judgmental approach I take with every client. I create a safe space where every individual can show up as they are, with no goal too big or small. I’m most proud of the community we’re building in Denver and the transformative impact we’ve had on the lives of our clients. Whether you’re new to holistic wellness or looking to fine-tune your health journey, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. I’m excited to continue expanding and empowering others to live their healthiest, most balanced lives.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Starting your own business is always going to be challenging, but you never truly understand the magnitude of that challenge until you’re in it. If you’re just starting out, remember that you’re human and you deserve rest. Don’t let imposter syndrome sabotage your confidence, but also be aware that there is a lot to learn. It’s all about balance, so take it one step at a time.

When I first started my business, I didn’t realize I had to be my own marketing agent too—something I wasn’t skilled in at all. It’s okay to ask for help. It’s okay to be new at something, and it’s okay to stumble along the way. Just keep trying, and remember that progress is made through consistent effort, not perfection. You’ve got this!
