Today we’d like to introduce you to Halee Jarrett.
Hi Halee, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been a cheerleader since I was four years old, and I currently cheer in college at Montana State. I have always been drawn to rodeo and the Western way of life, and my grandpa has always referred to me as a “cowgirl”. I am hoping to work in Rodeo Sports Broadcasting, so when I saw the internship application for media/communications at NWSS, I submitted my application. When I was hired, I knew that I would put everything into it and take everything I could, and I did just that.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I have always struggled with imposter syndrome. The western/rodeo world can be very closed off, so applying myself into something I didn’t grow up in was very intimidating
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work as a CNA in a nursing home full time, but I also pursue social media on the side. I am known for my western fashion and life style tiktoks.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was very outgoing growing up, but highschool made me crawl back into my shell. I always wanted to be horseback and doing my hair and makeup.
