Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Gunshore.
Hi Lisa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey began with a deep personal quest for healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. After years in high-level retail leadership, I experienced a profound awakening that led me to study Ayurveda, quantum coaching, and trans-dimensional mediumship. What began as a personal transformation became a calling to support others in theirs.
Over the past decade, I’ve authored books like Enlightenment Pie and Cherry Pie: Chasing Love and Finding Compassion, which document my healing journey and the path from codependency and chronic illness to embodied empowerment. These stories have resonated deeply with others walking similar paths, and they’ve become guideposts in the work I do today.
Most recently, I launched the Healing Lab, a space where ancient wisdom meets modern modalities. It’s where I combine red light therapy, sound healing, Ayurvedic nutrition, and intuitive coaching to support deep transformation. Every offering—whether a one-on-one session, a group workshop, or a podcast conversation—is designed to help others reconnect with their innate healing power.
This work isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am. It’s a daily practice of remembrance: that we are whole, that we are worthy, and that healing is not a destination but a sacred return.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been far from a smooth road—my healing journey has been raw, humbling, and at times, devastating. In Enlightenment Pie and Cherry Pie, I share the intimate details of what it was like to live inside a body that felt hijacked. Mold exposure, systemic Candida overgrowth, and parasite infections weren’t just physical conditions—they were spiritual initiations. They stripped me of my energy, my clarity, and at moments, even my sense of self.
Doctors didn’t have answers. My symptoms were dismissed or misunderstood. I had to become my own researcher, healer, and advocate. That’s what ultimately led me to Ayurveda, functional testing, and the deep somatic and spiritual work that now forms the foundation of my Healing Lab.
The hardest part wasn’t the illness—it was the invisibility of it. The loneliness. The gaslighting. The way chronic illness isolates you from the life you used to live. But it also gave me a gift: the chance to rebuild from the inside out. It’s why I do what I do today.
Through my Healing Lab, I now hold space for others facing the same hidden battles. I blend functional testing, Ayurveda, red light therapy, sound healing, and intuitive coaching because healing is multidimensional. I’ve lived that truth.
I wouldn’t wish my path on anyone. But I also wouldn’t change it—because it made me who I am. A guide, a healer, and a voice for those still searching for answers in the dark.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My work is rooted in the deep belief that healing is both sacred and multidimensional. As the founder of the Healing Lab and Rocky Mauna School of Ayurveda, Yoga & Mysticism, I offer a blend of ancient wisdom and modern modalities—ranging from red light therapy and sound healing to Ayurveda, functional testing, and quantum coaching. My specialty is in helping people recover from complex chronic conditions like mold illness, Candida, and parasitic infections—not just physically, but emotionally, energetically, and spiritually.
What sets my work apart is that I’ve lived it. My books, Enlightenment Pie and Cherry Pie: Chasing Love and Finding Compassion, share my personal story of healing from these very conditions. I understand how disorienting it is to feel dismissed, misdiagnosed, or completely unseen. My clients don’t come to me just for protocols—they come because I’ve walked the path and I know how to help them reclaim their power.
I also host The Lisa Frequency YouTube channel, which has over 1,200 videos focused on intuitive healing, Ayurveda, shadow work, and spiritual awakening. My mission there is to make conscious content accessible and empowering. I’ve had the honor of interviewing incredible teachers from around the world and building a global community around radical self-responsibility and sacred embodiment.
Another project I’m incredibly proud of is the One Heart One Earth summits. These gatherings were born from the vision of bringing teachers, mystics, and healers together to share wisdom for planetary and personal healing. Each summit is a weaving of diverse voices in service to the collective heart.
At the core of everything I do is the understanding that healing isn’t about fixing—it’s about remembering who you are. I’m proud to be a guide for that return.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned on my journey is this: trust is not a concept—it’s a practice born in the dark.
I didn’t learn trust when everything was going well. I learned it when my body was failing, when I was misunderstood by doctors, and when I felt entirely alone in my suffering. Mold, parasites, and Candida stripped me of certainty, energy, and direction. I had to surrender everything I thought I knew in order to listen—really listen—to the quiet voice of truth within me.
In my Trust chapter in Enlightenment Pie, I share how I began to understand trust not as something you wait to feel—but as a choice you make, again and again, even when it feels like there’s no ground beneath your feet. I learned to trust Spirit, my body’s messages, the signs, the silence, and ultimately, myself.
That practice of trust is what carried me through illness and into the work I now do through my Healing Lab, my books, and my YouTube channel. It’s the foundation of how I guide others: not toward perfection or quick fixes, but toward their own knowing, their own rhythm, their own sacred remembering.
