Hi Ababa Abiem and Elaina Destefano with Resilience Consulting, LLC, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Elaina and Ababa have been dear friends since they are were 16 years old. In purist of education they both got their degrees in Social Work. They have spent 12 years in the field in nonprofit, and for-profit leadership positions both in New York and Massachusetts. Spending this much time in the field allowed them to recognize that what impacted organizational missions the most was staff retention and staff wellness. Ababa and Elaina saw that there was an opportunity to use their skills to coach organizations in sustainable and tangible measures to improve staff retention and wellness so organizations can create lasting impact and change.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We believe in the mission and vision of our work. Though it has not been easy to get a large pool of clients as we have hit the ground running we do realize what we have to offer is impactful and a niche that businesses and organizations need to invest in.
We’ve been impressed with Resilience Consulting, LLC , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our mission is to empower organizations to create safe and supportive environments for employees and clients who have experienced trauma, ensuring their successful transition and preventing re-traumatization in the workplace.
Vision
At Resilience Consulting, LLC, we envision a future where organizations prioritize the well-being of their employees, creating environments that foster healing, growth, and resilience. Together, we can build workplaces that not only support individuals who have experienced trauma but also contribute to their long-term success and overall well-being.
What sets us apart is that we have both have had a decade plus of experience in leadership position in nonprofit organizations both nationally and internationally. We believe in the notation that those closest to the problem are closest to the solution and many of our best practices and solutions came from implanting them our selves and seeing the positive results when it comes to retention rates and mission productivity.
