Hidden Gems: Meet Meredith Cole of The Denver Village

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meredith Cole.

Meredith, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I went to CU Boulder and met my husband, Nate, in 2009, just a year after I graduated. Not long after, we moved to Boston—my hometown—and lived there for six years before settling in Denver in 2015. That’s when I began teaching yoga.

When I was pregnant with our first child in 2017, I discovered a local space that really focused on supporting moms—prenatal yoga, parenting classes, pelvic floor therapy, all of it. It made such a difference for me during that time. Inspired by the experience, I began teaching prenatal and postnatal yoga myself, hoping to help other moms feel more at ease in their changing bodies.

By the time we had our second child in 2020, the world had changed dramatically. Support systems had all but disappeared in the pandemic, and it was a stark reminder of how essential those resources are, especially during pregnancy and postpartum.

That experience stayed with me. I realized how much our community was missing a space like the one I had found years earlier. That’s why I decided to open The Village—to create a place where people can come feel seen, supported, and a little less alone.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the most challenging parts of this journey was finding the right physical space for The Village. I had a clear vision—rooms for practitioners, an open area for yoga and wellness workshops—and I knew it had to be in Central Park. I truly felt this neighborhood needed a space like this, so I was intentional and pretty particular about finding the right fit.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
The Denver Village is a place to move, heal, and connect. We bring together trusted experts
across yoga, bodywork, therapy, and specialized classes—plus a welcoming community—to
help people navigate life’s transitions with more ease. Here, you’ll find: A welcoming
community where meaningful conversations happen. Practitioners you can trust—from
acupuncturists and pelvic floor specialists to therapists and chiropractors. Expert-led workshops
on everything from parenting and career shifts to breathwork and sound baths. And a variety of
movement practices tailored to your needs—pre/postnatal yoga, gentle flow, candlelight
restorative sessions, and more.

The Denver Village is different than other spaces because we are a space for real conversations & connection.
Beyond surface-level wellness, we offer opportunities for honest conversations about life’s challenges. Our workshops and gatherings hold space for real growth, reflection, and transformation.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me, success is about happiness—feeling fulfilled in the work I do and present in the life I’m building. It means creating something meaningful, showing up for my family and community, and finding joy in the day-to-day. If I’m at peace with how I’m spending my time and who I’m sharing it with, that’s success.
