Daily Inspiration: Meet ZAP DJ

Today we’d like to introduce you to ZAP DJ.

Hi ZAP, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi, my name is ZAPDJ100.
I started making music when I was in high School.
A lot of my friends were doing it at the time so I thought I would try it out. It soon became somthing I did everyday on my phone at first, then I moved to pc apps like FL Studio and Ableton and many more. I started on soundcloud releasing music over there after a few years of growing a following I moved to all platforms like Spotify and all the rest. I came up with my name in my dad’s office one night and ever since it has been my name. As well as being a beat maker I am an up-and-coming DJ. I also help young artists with whatever they need like photos and growing a fan base on social media.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road for me has not been easy. I’ve learned a lot in industry. The struggles I’ve had are learning to promote daily working with social media and posting in consistently. And not being too hard on myself when I release music. Believe your stuff is good is key in this industry.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in making beats and helping people grow on social media. I really enjoy helping others. I would say I most known for making beats on all platforms and producing. The helping people grow portion is fairly new to me. I would say that I most proud of are the people that support me and that have worked with me in music. what sets me apart from others are my beats that are different. I have a different sound. not all my beats sound the same.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice to others is to believe find your people and keep going. What I wish I had known earlier is the importance of social media and ad advertising and networking with others. don’t be afraid to put yourself out there.
