Daily Inspiration: Meet Cindy Do

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cindy Do.

Hi Cindy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, my name is Cindy Do, and I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. I started my small crafting business in 2020 during the COVID pandemic, when I discovered a passion for creating cute custom shirts, stickers, and 3D prints. What began as a hobby quickly grew into an Etsy shop that has now fulfilled over 700 orders and reached customers in more than 524 cities across America! Running this business has taught me valuable lessons in finance, design, and customer service. Most importantly, it has helped support me through four years of college—and now, I’m excited to be starting my first year of pharmacy school!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest struggle for me was simply figuring out how to get started. In the beginning, my best friend Camrynn Waite introduced me to shirt making, and I spent countless hours watching YouTube videos to learn the craft. Starting a small business at 18 was definitely intimidating, but I was determined to share my creations with others. One of the hardest milestones was reaching my first 100 orders—growth felt slow at first. But over time, customers began to appreciate the quality and care I put into each item, and word started to spread.

Recently, I’ve also been creating and posting YouTube videos to hopefully teach and inspire others that also want to craft or start a small business like me. 😊

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m heading into my first year of pharmacy school and I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Boise State University. My crafting small business has been my creative outlet for the past 5 years and I plan on continue doing so through pharmacy school.

My bestselling products are custom name ambigrams, NFC digital business cards, and custom shirts. Many of my customers buy the custom ambigrams as an engagement, wedding, or anniversary gift. An ambigram is a clever design that shows one name from one angle, and when you flip it, reveals a completely different name on the other side!

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I’ve lived in Denver for almost two years now and I absolutely love the weather and four seasons that we have here. Coming from Boise, Denver is definitely a much bigger city but it reminds me a lot of home. My boyfriend and I also love driving up to the Rocky Mountain National Park and Glenwood Hot Springs.

The thing I like the least about Denver is the traffic and food. Apparently living at a higher altitude can dull your sense of taste and smell.

Pricing:
