An Inspired Chat with Laura Rodriguez of Denver

Laura Rodriguez shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Laura , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is a normal day like for you right now?

I like to wake up and give gratitude for another day. My morning starts with a shower, it instantly wakes me up and sets the tone. After that, I check and answer emails, then tidy up my condo.

Depending on my schedule, I’ll either head to the gym or take a Pilates class before coming back home to dive into work. Most of my work these days is done from home, so my computer is where I spend much of my time.

Evenings are reserved for my favorite ritual: my evening stroll. It’s the moment that quiets my mind and helps me wind down.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a Colorado-based real estate agent, proudly licensed for the past nine years. What makes me unique in this industry is that I’m not only a Realtor, I’m also an active real estate investor. Alongside my business partner, I specialize in fixing and flipping properties, taking old, worn-down houses and transforming them into beautiful homes that new families can enjoy and build memories in.

My work combines market expertise with hands-on design and construction experience, giving me a different perspective than most agents. I don’t just sell homes, I create them. My passion lies in seeing potential where others might see problems and bringing new life into each property we touch.

Right now, I’m continuing to grow both my real estate practice and my investment projects, always looking for ways to improve communities and help my clients make smart, confident moves in today’s market.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Hands down, my best friend and now business partner, Javier. He’s the one who pushed me to get my real estate license, and I’ll be forever grateful for that. From the start, we’ve both been crazy enough and hungry enough to dive into the investing side of real estate together.

We learn from each other every single day, and we’re constantly pushing the boundaries. What I love most is that we’re “yes” people to one another no idea is too big or too wild. If one of us dreams it, the other is right there supporting it. That kind of partnership is rare, and it keeps us moving forward.

When did you last change your mind about something important?
I’m always changing my mind, that’s the beauty of life. We have choices, and we also have the freedom to change our minds whenever we want. I think a lot of people settle because they’re afraid of change, but I realized a few years back that I get to choose my life. If something doesn’t serve me anymore, I can make a shift, and that’s empowering.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. What you see is what you get. I’m a 35-year-old woman who has learned to truly love herself and not be afraid of being exactly who she is. The version of me on social media is the real me.

Yes, I’m professional and knowledgeable in my field, but I’m also young, fun, and full of life. I share when I’m at festivals, out with friends, or just being funny, I genuinely love people. At the end of the day, I believe people choose to work with you not just because of what you do, but because they connect with who you are.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
Probably having access to me 24/7 for anything real estate related. I truly breathe and eat real estate,it’s always on my mind. My clients know they can reach me anytime, and that level of dedication is something they would definitely miss if I retired tomorrow.
