Eryn Henderson shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Eryn, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
Honestly, it’s the relationships I’ve built with my clients. Over the years, so many of my clients turn into real friends, and that’s what means the most to me. I am incredibly honored and proud of that. Real estate can seem transactional from the outside, but for me, it is very personal. I have the opportunity to work with people while they are going through big changes, and the the trust and friendship that results from that are truly incredible.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a Denver-based real estate agent who is just as focused on people as I am on properties. I help clients navigate some of the biggest transitions in their lives, whether that’s buying their first home, moving into something that fits a new chapter, or letting go of a space that no longer serves them.
What makes my approach unique is the relationships I build along the way. For me, it’s never just about closing a deal. The moments that I meet my clients in, regardless of whether they are buying or selling, is always a transitional space for them. In my mind, my job is not only to help them buy or sell their home, it about being being a steady presence through the ups and downs of the process. A lot of my clients become long term friends, and I think that says so much about the way I work.
Right now, I’m focused on helping buyers and sellers stay nimble in a market that’s constantly shifting. I’m always learning, adapting, and finding creative ways to guide people toward what they really want
My business is built on a mix of intuition, strategy, and a deep knowledge of the Denver market. I love helping people not only find the right home but also feel truly grounded in their new space and community.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
My parents taught me the most about work. Growing up with divorced parents, I had the unique perspective of watching both my parents and step-parents run their own businesses. At different points in time, I worked for each of them, which gave me firsthand experience in what it takes to build and maintain something from the ground up. I learned the what hard work looks like and how important it is to take pride in what you do.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that has held me back most is the fear of failure. I used to let it stop me from trying new things unless I was sure I could do them well. I missed out on opportunities that could have helped me grow. Over time though, I’ve realized that failure isn’t as scary as it feels in the moment. I have been able to recongnize that everytime I have experienced challenges, it is always where I learn and grow the most.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely! The public version of me is the real me. Whether I’m working with clients, colleagues, or just connecting with people in my everyday life, I show up the same way: genuine, grounded, and fully invested. I don’t put on a different face for work. Who I am personally and professionally is one and the same. I care deeply about the people I work with, and that care doesn’t switch off after a showing or a closing. I’m here to support, guide, and advocate with sincerity for my clients, friends, and family. What you see is what you get.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
What I understand deeply, and what I think often gets overlooked, is just how personal the home buying and selling process really is. It’s not just a transaction or a business deal; it’s someone’s life, their memories, their next chapter. Whether it’s the excitement of buying a first home, saying goodbye to a family house, or laying down roots in a new city, there’s always a deeper emotional layer. I don’t take that lightly. It’s a truly an honor to be invited into these moments and trusted to help guide people through them.
