We’re looking forward to introducing you to Katie Vaughan. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Katie, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I’m very into scuba diving. I’ve been traveling around – most recently I was on a live aboard – in the Maldives where we got to do dives every day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Katie Vaughan, Director of Operations at Enterprise Coworking. I joined the team in early 2017, not long after our RiNo location opened, and I’ve loved being part of the growth and energy of our coworking community ever since. My background is in sales and real estate, but what really excites me is supporting our team of rockstars and making sure every Enterprise member has the tools and environment they need to thrive.
What makes Enterprise Coworking special is our people-first approach—we’re not just providing office space, we’re building a community where creativity, collaboration, and a little fun (like our annual ping pong tournament—I’ve taken 2nd place two years in a row!) are all part of the day-to-day. When I’m not running around our multiple locations making sure things run smoothly, you might find me golfing, enjoying the outdoors, or playing board games with friends and family.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I think what breaks the bonds between people is a lack of honesty—avoiding the hard conversations, pretending everything’s fine when it’s not, or not being upfront about expectations. It creates distance and misunderstanding. What restores those bonds is openness and authenticity—being willing to be real with each other, owning your mistakes, and showing that you care enough to communicate honestly. It’s not always easy, but it builds trust, respect, and lasting connections.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell my younger self: “Keep being bold, keep chasing what excites you, and don’t be afraid to live authentically—even if it scares people or doesn’t fit the mold. Your passion is your superpower, and it will guide you to the right people and the right opportunities.”
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My friends would probably say I really value sleep—and my “zero days,” where I do absolutely nothing! But on a deeper level, I care deeply about doing a job well, traveling to new places, and spending time with my family—my siblings and parents; my parents especially mean the world to me. I also try to really show up for my friends. We all spend a lot of time together and I value those connections. Meaningful connections and being there for others are what really matter to me.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Absolutely. I’ve never done my best for recognition or praise—what really drives me is seeing the people around me thrive. Whether it’s supporting my team, helping a member succeed, or just making sure things run smoothly, I give everything my best because I care about the impact it has, not the applause.
