Ryan Paglione shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Ryan, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is a normal day like for you right now?
So chaotic, whether it’s dealing with boat problems, charter issues, captains, music catalogs, social media, drop shipping stores, api’s, software engineers, or managing my visa status to UAE, it’s insanity. Almost unbelievable. Like there’s no telling what my day will be, but juggling a charter company, a 300+ song music catalog, and a software platform is no easy feat. Not to mention my child Waffles (the sweetest golden retriever on earth) keeps my hands full.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m an entrepreneur, artist, and all-around creative builder currently balancing a wildly diverse ecosystem of ventures. I co-own a charter company in Texas (BOATX), manage a 300+ song music catalog under the artist name Pags, and recently founded a tech platform in Dubai focused on relationship accountability tools and digital infrastructure. On top of that, I’m growing an e-commerce brand featuring print-on-demand merch and overseas jewelry partnerships, while actively experimenting with ad funnels, pixel data, retargeting strategies, API integrations, and more.
What makes my journey unique is the crossover — tech meets ocean meets art, all rooted in faith. I’m just as comfortable debugging a Golang microservice architecture as I am performing on stage or leading a boat full of bachelorettes across Lake Austin. My mission is to build systems that work while I sleep, create music that outlives me, and invest in people and platforms that stand the test of time.
Also, shoutout to God. If I die tomorrow because I refused to sign a record deal with Diddy, let it be known: I was God-fearing.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
God’s. Still am, and fuck anybody who says otherwise.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Oh absolutely, many times, I think anyone who says there hasn’t been a challenge that made them reflect and ponder the idea of ‘quitting’ is either a liar or incredibly fortunate.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Dude, I just said fuck and talked about god in the same sentence, uhhh, abso-fuck-ing-lutely.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I could finally relax and I would stop living like tomorrow was my last day.
