Hi Patrice, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day look like a hot cup of Tea, me sitting with myself, expressing my gratitude for another Grand Rising. Some upbeat music or affirmations out loud:) Whichever get my vibrations the highest. I like to start everyday off vibing high, dancing, making sure my boys are in a positive head space before they head out the door:) I’m a firm believer that your rising sets the tone for each and everyday so wake up, get your body moving, claim and demand peaceful and productive days and so it will be:))
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Patrice Scott and I”m the owner of The Salad Spot2:) We originated in Central Georgia:) Macon and Forsyth:) 4 months ago we decided to relocate to the beautiful State of Colorado:)
The Salad Spot2 is way more than just a delivery service. It’s like a movement rooted in health, creativity and most importantly CommUNITY:) My goal is to bring not only fresh and nourishing but also FLAVORFUL options to the table. In the short time we’ve been here, we have become kind of a local favorite. The CommUNITY loves me and I love them right back. We support and uplift and I’m here for all of it. I’m looking forward to business growth here and I know I’m in Colorado for a reason:))
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
Well I was adopted at the age of one. My father and his wife divorced when I was around 5 or so? So technically I grew up without a mom. As a child I believed that if my mom didnt love me, then I was undeserving of love. My father, Grandma, Aunts, Uncles and cousins were always there and never treated me any different. That was the biggest lie I allowed my mind to tell me as a child because I had so much love surrounding me growing up:) We have to remember that the mind is tricky. Just because you believe a way about yourself, doesn’t make it true:) Healing and time brought that lie to the forefront for me:) My heart breaks for those that make permanent decisions based on a temporary emotion. We are all deserving of love:) But it starts with SELF:))
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
Once I realized that having a victim or woe is me mindset was keeping me stuck in the same toxic habits. I started to Alchemize pain as a whole. Okay it happened, Lets do what it takes to get through this and whats next? I had to do something different because I didn’t like the results I was getting in life. People, places and things:) I had to start making better choices and really dive into healing myself. You want a different result? Do something different.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief you used to hold tightly but now think was naive or wrong?
CHRISTIANITY. I was very naive
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That although Ive been through alot (Abandonment issues in the past, Sexual Assault, Dometic Violence, Jail more times than I could count), She never gave up. She actively worked towards healing and change and that brought you to the woman who lives today:) Ive remained thankful for the good and the bad, they were important life lessons and they allowed me to understand that you can push forward, regardless of your circumstances:)
