We recently had the chance to connect with Brianna Roybal and have shared our conversation below.
Brianna, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Energy. You can’t have intelligence without the energy to go find it, and you most likely don’t have integrity without intelligence. So it all starts with energy.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Brianna Roybal, the founder of Foothills Parties & Picnics! I’ve called Fort Collins home since 2018, and after nearly a decade working as a CNA, I decided it was time to trade scrubs for sparkle and start creating events that people would never forget.
What began in 2021 as luxury picnics has since grown into indoor sleepovers, spa parties, and full glamping setups—basically all the Pinterest boards you’ve been saving, but I do the hard work for you. We’re known for making parties feel effortless, elevated, and just plain fun.
The best part? I’m constantly adding fresh themes, and the latest one I’m working on is a K-Pop Demon Hunters sleepover. Think bold, trendy, and unlike anything else in Northern Colorado.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
My grandparents taught me the most about work. They were high school sweethearts who married young, raised a family, and built a life rooted in love and resilience. My granddad has worked at Parkerson Construction for over 30 years, and he’s the hardest worker I know—always providing, always showing up.
From them, I learned that being the hardest worker in the room and truly knowing your craft matters. They instilled in me the importance of doing things right the first time so you don’t waste time later. But beyond work ethic, they also taught me about love, grace, and forgiveness. Their home has always been open—welcoming anyone who walks through the door with food, kindness, and no judgment. I’ve always admired them not just for how hard they work, but for the kind of people they are.
When did you last change your mind about something important?
I change my mind so often it feels like my superpower. Some call it indecision—I call it refusing to get stuck. You can always change your mind, and I think that’s something to embrace.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say my family matters most to me. It’s one of the reasons I love my business so much—I get invited back into families’ homes year after year and get to watch their kids grow, milestones celebrated, and bonds deepen. That kind of human connection is so underrated, and it means everything to me.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I’d stop second-guessing myself. If I only had ten years left, I’d rather spend them being bold and present with the people I love than stuck in self-doubt.
