Good morning Celesté, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
Legacy, hence my online art business, Legatia.
Legatia means more than the paths we blaze on our own, its family and friends, wholesome experiences, and community.
No one sees what goes on behind the scenes, but whether that’s working on a new painting, community project, or spending time with family—it’s all connected and matters equally.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Celesté, co-founder of Legatia and creative community leader in Pueblo, Colorado has cultivated her creative spirit in efforts to unify, build, and beautify the city.
Whether that’s working on a new mural capturing Pueblo’s rich history, coordinating local events, or a new community project—there’s always something to be highlighted with a paintbrush.
That’s what legacy is, that’s the spirit behind Legatia.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
If it wasn’t for my better half, my husband, Niko—I’d probably still be in school, stressed and in debt pursuing the medical profession of becoming a surgeon.
Instead, I placed my faith and heart in myself the same way Niko did before we could’ve ever imagined getting as far as we are now.
For that, I couldn’t be more grateful.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
There is no such thing as success without suffering—pleasure without pain.
You must learn to appreciate both, respectively.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Doing it right.
One of my core beliefs is doing it right, because how you do anything is how you do everything.
The fine line between “good enough” and “perfectionism”.
Whether it takes you 1 time or 15 times, you learn how to become better each time until you’re honestly satisfied with the work you’ve done.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Definitely.
At the end of the day, no one sees the blood, sweat, and tears anyway.
They will see the results though—and that’s enough.
