Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrick Smith.
Hi Patrick, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I came to chiropractic after a debilitating (stupid-self induced) injury in 1995 when I saw Dr. William Judge DC. Little did I know that injury would change the course of my life as Bill became my chiropractor first, then friend, mentor, and boss until we settled on friend. I knew after my initial course of care I wanted to help people as he helped me. Over a lunch with him I decided to end my career in golf and went back to school. After a few stops along the way my family ended up in Evergreen where we reside and will spend the rest of our days.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would not describe the road as smooth, but with dedication I would not call it a pot hole filled journey either (it helps if you swerve the potholes). Difficult decisions were made to leave the safety of a cushy job with Judge Chiropractic to set out on my own, open private practice in Illinois only to move to Colorado after 6 years. Upon the sale of that practice I operated a private practice in Denver for 11 years. Saying goodbye to that practice was a very tough decision, but practicing there and in my current practice in Evergreen left me juggling and thin on time. I have found my place in Evergreen and am thrilled to work and live here.
As you know, we’re big fans of ChiroPatrickEvergreen. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
ChiroPatrick is a straight forward chiropractic office offering no gizmos, gadgets, and the multitude of other therapies you typically find in chiropractic offices. ChiroPatrick is two hands (mine) and two tables. I strive to offer the same level of care I seek for myself and provide for my family. I make it affordable and convenient for those seeking regular consistent chiropractic care. I believe I am my brand. I don’t wear a different hat inside my office. I’m the same guy…I just know chiropractic.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Amongst many spending time with my grandfather stands out. Many hours of having a catch when I’d miss a throw by a mile, golfing with him, watching the Cubs on WGN. This list could continue forever. He was a special guy to me.
