Randy, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: When was the last time you felt true joy?
This last weekend Hosting at the Allways Lounge in New Orleans. Burlesque is life!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Randy Rude and I am an up and coming burlesque performer located out of Colorado Springs, CO. I Produce, Host, Kitten and of course perform in this amazing art of burlesque. I started my journey about 4 years ago and have never looked back! I am based out of La Burla Bee in Colorado Springs, CO. Owned by the one and only Bunny Bee. It is Colorado Springs first and only full time cabaret. I have been with them since the day they opened. That place is home and they are my family. I was mentored by “The Bad Boy of Burlesque” Romeo Uncaged and he has built me to levels I could have never imagined. This is only the beginning for the Rude One!
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My Wife, best friend and soul mate Bustie Beaker. She has supported me and followed my dreams from music to professional wrestling to burlesque. She is also a burlesque performer that shines every time she touches the stage. Even when I fell like the world does not want me to be who I am, she stands up and says just how amazing I am. My biggest fan for sure.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Be brave! You are amazing and the world will know it! Don’t be afraid to take that risk and be yourself. You will love who you find at the end.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely! I am the same person on the stag or off. I stay true to myself no matter where I am and what I am doing. I love all and will always be that way. I feel it’s better to love truly and always. That is true happiness.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
When I am on that stage entertaining people. That is my safe space and home. I love when I put smiles on faces and know I have made your day just a little better by entertaining you.
