Story & Lesson Highlights with Lydia Golesh of Denver Metro

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Lydia Golesh. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Lydia, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
The glamour of real estate is what is shown on the outside–and a lot of the time we forget about all of the behind the scenes items that we are doing for our clients. This is true for listing prep, negotiations, and even the client experience. It is our job as agents to make real estate look attractive; because it is our job to market your home in the best light. Real estate, much like life, can get sticky and a very successful realtor knows they are a problem solver.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
We are residential real estate experts who specialize in luxury, senior, and residential sales. Being one of the top 100 agents in the Denver Metro allows us to have the best knowledge, experience, and know how to serve you and those you know with your real estate needs. We pride ourselves in utilizing cutting edge technology and creating a personal client experience. We are so grateful for our amazing clients and referral partners, and our 160+ Google reviews can vouch for that!

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
We are so grateful for all of our amazing mentors. We have had several Keller Williams mentors throughout the years. When I first got into real estate, one in particular, Kevin, spent a lot of time walking me through basic real estate knowhow. He was very confident in my abilities and the future of the business. We are so grateful to him and so many others for their time, talent, and leadership, and know that we would not be here without their help. I am passionate about teaching others and am KW DTC faculty for that reason. It is definitely all about paying it forward.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Remember that many people will tell you they can’t, not because you can’t, but because they don’t think they can.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
In the market we were in where homes would sell in a weekend that is very much the narrative that most sellers still have. In this normal market some homes may sell within a handful of months and there is still great success in that. We need to remember that a home is such a personal decision, and not every buyer or showing is going to yield an offer.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
Our clients know how much we care and much of our business relationships are built upon this. When we grow the business, this is one of the biggest things we look at. We understand that real estate is relational, and we want to ensure to serve our clients in this important milestone.
