Hi Jason, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I enjoy spending time with my family going on different adventures and seeing where life takes us.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello my name is Jason Beauchamp and I’m an abstract artist that communicates by way of fluid acrylic painting and I immerse myself into my paintings by not using traditional tools. My fingers, arms and hands tell the story of the medium by controlling the fluid acrylics in way that is unique and has its own voice. Lately I have been working a lot on creative images to create a whole new series of paintings that I will be producing fall/Winter of this year. I will explode with series of 5 paintings that will have new energy and uplifting undertones with swathes of color.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful was the moment I first realized people loved my artistic voice and how it made them feel inside themselves. At that moment I knew I had to keep challenging myself to create works that inspire people
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Was there ever a time when I wanted to give up? Yes those times still creep in when the work is not going according to plan or the work gets away from me and what the vision was. You always want to give when you are frustrated with certain techniques and it’s just not working.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Most of my friends would say “ I care a lot”, what that means I am a creature that likes to make sure everyone around me is comfortable.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When I’m gone I would just want people to talk about the work not the person who painted it, I want my work to stand tall and be proud to be on the wall inspiring people.
