Micah, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Definitely Integrity. Intelligence and Energy are good qualities, but what really defines a person is whats on the Inside reflected in their decisions and choices on the outside.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
About Micahdoodles
Hi, I’m Micah—husband, father of 4, proud grandpa, Christian, and the hand behind Micahdoodles! I’ve loved drawing ever since I was a kid, but it wasn’t until December of 2014 that I started getting requests to draw people’s vehicles in my unique CARtooned style. That’s when Micahdoodles was born—and what a wild ride it’s been!
Though I do this part-time, I pour my heart into every piece. I spend weekends and a few weeknights working on custom artwork for clients from all over—most of whom found me through Facebook or online communities. My style continues to grow and evolve, and I’m constantly inspired by the amazing community of fellow car artists and enthusiasts.
Every Monday night at 6pm MT, I go live and color a custom piece I had drawn the week before. You can catch that on the Cartoons Magazine Automotive Humor Facebook page or on my personal Micahdoodles page. I’ve been doing these weekly sessions for over 6 years now, and it’s been a great way to connect with fans and fellow artists.
I’m also active as an admin in groups like Cartooned Drawings of Cars, Trucks and Bikes and Free Cartoon Coloring Pages—amazing spaces where artists and gearheads come together to share, learn, and have fun.
If you’re a car artist just starting out, here’s my advice:
👉 Get involved in a car art forum—on Facebook, Instagram, wherever.
👉 Draw often, post often, and learn from others.
👉 And most of all—have fun with it!

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
More than anything, my relationship with Jesus is the foundation of everything I do. Having an active, consistent walk with Him—growing more in love with Him every day—has shaped who I am, both as a person and as an artist.
In Christ, I’ve found my identity: I’m accepted, forgiven, loved, and secure. I don’t need to strive or compare to find confidence; it comes from knowing who I am in Him. And from that place of peace, I can freely use the talents He’s given me—creating art not just for fun, but for His glory. Whatever He chooses to do with those gifts, I trust Him with it.
That’s the heart behind Micahdoodles—faith, family, and fun, all rolled into a CARtooned ride.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
We all want to be successful in what we do—but the truth is, God often uses our failures and suffering to shape us in ways success never could. While the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, life rarely works that way. And neither does faith.
God isn’t looking for us to lead our lives on our own terms—He’s inviting us to surrender. And it’s from that surrender that true freedom begins. I’ve avoided a lot of self-inflicted pain simply by choosing to do things God’s way. That doesn’t mean I’ve gotten it all right—I’ve had my share of rebellious moments where I thought my way was better. But even then, God never stopped loving me.
Eventually, you get tired of “running laps”—making the same mistakes and facing the same consequences. Suffering, as painful as it is, has a way of teaching us to let go and trust. It taught me to surrender.
One of the scriptures that’s been a constant guide for me is Proverbs 3:5-6:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”
God’s direction often comes with unexpected detours—not to discourage us, but to show us and grow us along the way. He reminds us that He’s in control. He’s got this. And we can trust Him with where we’re headed—even when the road doesn’t look like we thought it would.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
I never want a spotlight or platform to change who I am. At the end of the day, I am who I am because of surrender and trust—learning to let the Lord lead and direct my life, in every area.
As I’ve grown in my art over the years, God has opened more doors—more opportunities, platforms, and connections than I could have imagined when I first started drawing vehicles in 2014. But with that growth, I’ve made it a priority to stay grounded in the reason I do any of this: to honor God and serve others.
Whether I’m drawing a CARtooned piece live on a Monday night or finishing a commissioned artwork on the weekend, I truly aim to make sure my clients feel heard, valued, and taken care of. That’s part of my worship—using the gifts I’ve been given not just to create, but to bless.
Success doesn’t define me. Platforms don’t change me. Jesus does. And I want everything I do—including my art—to reflect that.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
Micah was a man who loved God and loved others. Through the gifts he was given, he sought to use them for the glory of God and the enjoyment of others.
He believed that talent and skill were never the end goal—but a reflection, a pointer, to the Supreme Creator who had blessed him far beyond what he deserved.
