We recently had the chance to connect with Justin Petty and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Justin, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
Ageism the world tells us as creators that we have to accomplish our goals by a certain age especially as men. We have to understand as men that we’re not born with our value like women we have to go and build and earn it so it takes us longer to establish our lives. A man’s life doesn’t really start until age 30 anything before that your just building your young you look good but you’re still broke more than likely lol which is all apart of the process. Don’t feel bad embrace it and use it as motivation don’t get bitter and become a hater of yourself and others.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Justin Lamar Petty I’m the founder and CEO of Intangible Entertainment LLC and my newest business venture Justin Lamar Media LLC.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with Jesus Christ shaped the way I see myself the most because without faith in a higher power any man can become arrogant in time which will hinder you later if it’s not corrected. It reminds me of where I come from and how just like I’ve been blessed with so many things and opportunities they can easily be taken away God got all the power not me I’m just a black man with a plan I’m thankful.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me patience and it showed me who I was beyond the surface adversity will always show you what you’re made of when nobody’s looking. Suffering is good for the soul it’s apart of the process of prosperity it’s just the agonizing begging stages but it’s the only way to rise.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes absolutely 💯 percent the key to longevity in anything is honor. If I want to last in anything I do all I have to do is be true to it and it’ll work out in my favor I’m the long run because I was actually sincere. I give everything I do my whole heart sincerely. I love my fans with my soul and I refuse to be a fraud in any way shape or form I am who I said I was no matter what.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
Building my own media app to sell my own content on I always wanted any own streaming platform to sell my film tv and stage plays on. I want the world to be able to view them 24/7. I don’t desire a network deal just a streaming platform.
