Daily Inspiration: Meet Annie & Jess Romero & Hein

Today we’d like to introduce you to Annie & Jess Romero & Hein.

Hi Annie & Jess, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Our flower obsessions started with our grandmothers. After Annie’s maternal grandmother’s passing, she became drawn to the idea of working with and around flowers. As the dreamer of our friendship, she often had ideas for businesses and inventions, but once she shared this concept with Jess (the do-er), things blossomed from there!

After a brief discussion into brick and mortar options, we realized a mobile business would be more attainable, creative and unique. Jess and her dad took a trip to the vintage auto dealer and found a green International pick-up truck that was just begging for a new identity. Farm truck would now become flower truck!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
COVID. BREAK-DOWNS (us and the truck). OVERHEATING (us and the truck). RAIN STORMS. WIND STORMS. FREEZE OUTS!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Accessible, creative, vintage-vibe flower experiences with our flower truck (Watson, 1967 International) and Flower Trailer (Willow, 1963 Lincraft), all while honoring ourselves as women, Colorado natives, and earthlings! We keep things as local and earth-friendly as we can. We love to grow our own stems and have a proud relationship local growers.

We currently offer subscription bouquet deliveries, DIY and bouquet pop-up bars, events with Watson or Willow, and flowers for special events — everything from baby showers to parades!

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Thank you to our grandmothers and mom’s for giving us a love for flowers and a green thumb for growing!
