Marc, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Outside of making sure my wife and kids are healthy, happy, and moving forward, I’m
making sure my team at MDH is healthy and moving forward also! A lot of my days are
spent supporting my team behind the scenes. Whether it’s drumming up work to keep
us busy, meeting new and existing clients, approving purchase orders, doing site visits
with my team, there is never a shortage of things to be done!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Marc David Homes builds high-end luxury homes. We take clients from dream to reality,
starting all the way back at helping them procure a lot to build on. We are truly a one-
stop shop. We even have interior designers on staff to help with the overall vision and
execution of beautiful finishes. To this day, we are still exceptionally competitive with
pricing, typically beating out our competition at a better cost per square foot for the
luxury product they are receiving. We specialize in exceptional attention to detail and a
client friendly process.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My family and friends have always believed in me and had my back, but truly, it’s only
by God’s grace and who He says I am that is a clear path for me. He will always see me
and understand who I am much deeper and much more purposefully than I could ever
see myself. In light of that, every day I am able to grow in confidence, grace, and in my
ability to serve clients and others around me..
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would say hang in there through the tough days because there are far greater things
ahead than behind. Keep strong and work hard and you will be successful. Find joy in
the simple wins and even though you work hard make sure and find friends to spend
time with and enjoy life as well.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that my family, serving at our church, and friends are what
really matters to me. Also, it really matters to me that I am encouraging my employees
and helping them grow personally and professionally.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
The story I hope people would tell after I am gone is that first and foremost my life was
lived following Jesus. From that, all other good things come: love for others, decisions
made with integrity, placing others before myself, doing the right thing when no one’s
looking. I also hope that our homeowners will always talk about and remember their
experience with us and how much their homes mean to them and their families.
