Hi Mike, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m Mike, owner and operator of Denver Auto Pro Detailing.
I started working in the auto industry since 2014 and have been in since. Then started my own business back in 2022.
I’ve gotten deeper into running my own business and learned more about cars along the way to become a better version of myself as much as possible.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Owning a business is never a smooth road.
Some of the biggest struggles is finding out how to attract more clients, how to spend the money the right way to accomplish that, trying something new for finding clients and how to properly retain clients as well.
It is a constant rotation of finding what works, continuing what has worked and refining it; and trying something new to find new avenues or scopes of work.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve been running my own business since April of 2022. And I’m a mobile auto detailer that can clean anything on wheels or on water.
Boats, RV’s, Motorhomes, Cars and trucks or construction equipment.
Other than standard cleaning for interior and exteriors I also do paint correction, headlight restoration, debadge services, ceramic coatings and other services.
I’m also accredited with BBB which not many detailers are, I’m also insured and registered with the state. Where other detailers typically are under the radar or even high school kids just starting out..
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Always see what is around you to network yourself at.
The best analogy I’ve heard was “it’s not called net-sit, it’s not called net-stand, it’s called network.” you have to do the work to get what can come out of it.
Local chambers are a great way to network, social media pages local to your area are also a great way to get your name out!
