Meet Kieshia Mace-Pearson of Painted Skies Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kieshia Mace-Pearson.

Kieshia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey into real estate has really been about finding where I can make the biggest impact. I never wanted to be just someone who helped people buy and sell homes. I wanted to build a business centered around relationships, education, and helping people through major life transitions.

When I started in real estate, I quickly realized that a home is rarely just a transaction. It represents stability, memories, finances, and often the next chapter of someone’s life. That became especially clear as I began working with people going through divorce and seeing how complex and emotional the real estate decisions could become.

That realization led me to specialize in divorce real estate and become a Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert (CDRE®). I knew that serving this community required more than just real estate knowledge, so I continued my education by becoming certified as a mediator and immersing myself in the family law community. I have built relationships with attorneys, professionals, and resources that allow me to better support clients navigating one of the most challenging seasons of their lives.

Along the way, I have also remained deeply connected to my community outside of real estate. I believe trust is built before someone ever needs your services. Through free neighborhood events, community gatherings, local partnerships, my bookclub, and volunteer work, I have focused on creating spaces where people can connect and feel supported.

Today, my work is a combination of those two passions: serving people during pivotal moments and building stronger communities. Whether someone is going through a divorce, making a move, or simply looking for a trusted resource, my goal is to provide clarity, education, and support so they can move forward with confidence.

I am still growing and working toward my goal of becoming the go-to divorce real estate expert in Colorado Springs, but what drives me most is knowing that the work I do helps people navigate some of life’s biggest transitions with a little more confidence and a lot less uncertainty.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it has definitely not been a smooth road. This work is incredibly rewarding, but it is also emotionally demanding. I am often helping people during one of the most difficult transitions of their lives, and with that comes a unique set of challenges.

When I decided to focus on divorce real estate, I knew I needed to do more than just understand contracts and transactions. I needed to understand the people, the process, and the many moving parts involved in family law. I became certified as a mediator, spent time learning from professionals in the court system, and truly immersed myself in the family law community so I could better serve my clients.

Some of the biggest challenges have come from working with high-conflict situations where emotions are extremely high and the decisions surrounding a home carry significant financial and personal consequences. I have worked with clients navigating protective orders, legal challenges, and situations where simply getting a home sold required careful coordination and problem-solving between multiple parties.

Those moments are not always easy, but they have reinforced why this work matters. My role is not just to sell a house. It is to help people find a path forward when life feels uncertain. Being able to bring clarity, create solutions, and help someone move into their next chapter makes every challenge worth it.

As you know, we’re big fans of Painted Skies Group. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Painted Skies Group is a real estate team built around one core belief: every home has a story, and every transition deserves the right guidance.

We specialize in helping people navigate real estate during some of life’s biggest changes. While many people think of real estate as simply buying or selling a home, we understand that the process is often connected to major life events. Our team helps clients through a wide range of transitions, including upsizing, downsizing, relocation, probate, senior transitions, foreclosure prevention, short sales, divorce, and other situations where homeowners need a higher level of care and expertise.

What sets Painted Skies Group apart is that we are not focused on being transactional. We believe our role is to educate, provide resources, and help people make informed decisions that are right for their unique circumstances. Some clients need help finding their next home, while others need guidance navigating a difficult transition with as much stability and clarity as possible.

We are especially proud of the relationships and resources we have built within our community. Through education, local partnerships, workshops, and community events, we strive to be a trusted resource long before someone needs to make a move.

From a brand perspective, I am most proud that Painted Skies Group represents more than real estate. It represents compassion, expertise, and a commitment to serving people during important moments in their lives. Whether someone is starting a new chapter, moving closer to family, managing a difficult situation, or planning for the future, our goal is to make the process feel more manageable and supported.

At the end of the day, we do not just help people move houses. We help people navigate change.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I think the biggest thing I would want readers to know is that everything I do comes back to people.

Real estate is the vehicle, but serving people is the purpose. I have always believed that the strongest businesses are built on relationships, trust, and a genuine desire to help. Whether I am helping someone navigate a difficult life transition, connecting someone with a trusted resource, creating opportunities for neighbors to gather, or supporting organizations that make our community stronger, my goal has always been to make a positive impact.

One of the things I love most about this industry is that every person has a different story. A home can represent a new beginning, a fresh start, a place to create memories, or sometimes a chapter that needs to close. I never want my clients to feel like they are just another transaction. I want them to feel heard, supported, and confident that they have someone in their corner.

I am also incredibly grateful for the community that has embraced me and allowed me to serve in so many different ways. From hosting community events and bringing people together to building partnerships with professionals who share the same heart for service, I am proud of the relationships we continue to create.

My vision for Painted Skies Group is bigger than real estate. I want us to continue being a trusted resource for our community through every season of life. Whether someone is buying their first home, moving into their next chapter, facing an unexpected transition, or simply looking for guidance, I want people to know they have a team they can turn to.

At the end of the day, the greatest compliment someone can give me is not that I helped them sell a house. It is that I helped them feel supported during an important moment in their life.
