Today we’d like to introduce you to Tania Jaime Rodriguez.
Hi Tania, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey to becoming a studio owner was not something I planned. In many ways, Thrive Yoga Summit became a natural extension of my own healing journey.
My professional background was originally in accounting and bookkeeping, and for many years I was very focused on being independent, driven, and taking care of everything on my own. Through my own personal growth and healing, I discovered yoga and began exploring practices like Reiki, breathwork, and sound healing. Yoga became much more than a physical practice—it gave me a way to slow down, reconnect with myself, and become more present.
That journey eventually led me to teaching yoga and, later, becoming part of Thrive Yoga Summit. The studio was already established and had been owned by two wonderful women before I stepped in. Becoming an owner gave me the opportunity to help shape and grow a space that aligned so closely with what I had personally experienced.
Today, Thrive is more than a yoga studio. It’s a community and a space where people can move, breathe, connect, and explore different paths to healing and personal growth. We offer yoga alongside workshops, sound healing, Reiki, journaling, breathwork, and other experiences.
Looking back, I don’t think I became a studio owner because I set out to build a yoga business. I became one because my own healing journey led me here. And in many ways, I’m still on that journey myself.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and I think that’s part of what has made the journey so meaningful.
Stepping into an existing studio came with its own challenges. I had to learn how to navigate the business side while also honoring what had already been created and finding my own vision for Thrive. Like any small business, there have been financial pressures, unexpected challenges, and moments when I questioned whether I was on the right path.
There have also been personal challenges along the way. My own healing and growth have not always been easy or comfortable, but they have taught me resilience and helped me become a better leader and teacher.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that growth rarely happens when everything is going smoothly. The difficult seasons have pushed me to trust myself, adapt, and keep moving forward—even when I didn’t have all the answers.
We’ve been impressed with Thrive Yoga Summit, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Thrive Yoga Summit is a community-centered yoga and wellness studio in the Colorado mountains. We offer a variety of yoga classes designed for different levels and needs, along with workshops and experiences that support physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
What sets Thrive apart is that we see wellness as more than just movement. Alongside yoga, we bring together practices such as sound healing, Reiki, breathwork, journaling, and other holistic experiences, creating a space where people can explore different ways of connecting with themselves.
I’m most proud of the community we’ve created. Thrive is a welcoming space where people can come exactly as they are—whether they’re looking for a challenging yoga class, a moment to slow down, or an opportunity to explore something new.
At the heart of the brand is the word “Thrive.” To me, it represents the idea that wellness isn’t about being perfect; it’s about continuing to grow, connect, and create a life that feels meaningful.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I would simply encourage people to give themselves permission to evolve. We put so much pressure on ourselves to have everything figured out, but life rarely follows a straight path.
My own journey—from accounting, to yoga, to healing, and eventually becoming part of Thrive—has taught me that sometimes the things we never planned become the most meaningful parts of our lives.
I hope Thrive continues to be a place where people feel inspired to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and remember that there is always room to grow, heal, and begin again.
