Conversations with Aaron And Allyson Spieler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron And Allyson Spieler.

Hi Aaron and Allyson, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We are a husband and wife videography team. We started Spieler Media Productions a little over 5 years ago. We met at 18 while serving in the US Navy in Pensacola, Fl. We got stationed in Hawaii and Oklahoma city. 6 years later we decided to leave the Military and travel full time with just a backpack. We’ve been to over 30 countries and almost all 50 states in a 2 1/2 years time. We were looking for an air bnb to stay in for 3 months in 2021 and we knew we wanted to be able to ski that winter. We found Grand Junction and Powderhorn Ski resort. We immediately fell in love with the location, the people, the beer everything. just 2 months after visiting we bought our first home and immediately got hired for videography and photography work. There aren’t many videographers in Grand Junction so we’ve been pretty successful since. Now we specialize in Real Estate photo/video, Weddings video only, podcasts and events!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We’ve been blessed. It’s been quite a fun journey and we are excited to see where our business will take us in another 5 years.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Most of all what sets us apart is that we are a husband and wife team. We each have our strengths. Aaron is great with camera work and knows the right angles. Allyson is more of the editor and creative. We use our strengths accordingly to make sure the job is done to the best of its ability! Every wedding there is 2 of us, Aaron leads, Allyson the 2nd shooter. Allyson edits all weddings herself and doesn’t hire out an editor. Since there’s 2 we can edit in house. So when you hire us, you get us. We also are known in the grand valley for our real estate work. We have stunning HDR photos and Aaron is a genius with a gimbal for real estate videography. We have shot over 1,000 homes here ranging from $60,000 to 5 million dollars.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
We both are huge people persons. We love making new connections and always try to make friends with everybody. Serving in the military, attention to detail is so important to us. As well as communication, showing up on time, and doing what you said you’d do.
