Hidden Gems: Meet Vali Klein of Be Here Now Massage Yoga Bodywork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vali Klein.

Hi Vali, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hello, my name is Vali Joy Klein and I am the owner, operator, and licensed massage therapist at Be Here Now Massage Yoga Bodywork in Fort Collins, CO.
I graduated from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 2013 and have been working as a professional LMT since then. I started working at Be Here Now Massage Yoga Bodywork in 2017 and last year, in October 2025, I became the new owner! Currently there is myself and one other therapist, the talented Brianna Roybal.
My massage journey started in Maryland, where I am from, when I took an intro to massage therapy course at the local community college – I was hooked! I loved it! I came from a culinary background and loved working with my hands. I was pursuing a new career in the healthcare realm and really wanted to make an impact on helping people feel better. This felt right. At the time, there weren’t many good massage school options in my area so I started looking out of state. I was fortunate to have a friend in CO that was attending BCMT and offered to have me come visit and show me around. Which of course I did, and if anyone is familiar with the old BCMT in Boulder, you know how special that place was. I knew this was my path! I finished my last school semester in MD and moved to CO, something that was really scary and really exciting!
In 2016 and 2017, I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Thailand and learn Thai massage, a truly special type of massage and something I love to share. In 2023, I attended the Klose training school and completed my manual lymph drainage certification in the Vodder technique. My additional certifications included prenatal massage and reflexology. I also offer TMJ intraoral work and pediatric massage. I adore working with the kids, they respond so well, and it’s truly a relaxing and balancing experience for them.
To complement my massage practice, in 2018, I completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training certification at FRCC and since then I have done over 400 hours of yoga continuing education. I am a 500hr registered yoga teacher with yoga alliance. I love working with clients one on one, being able to incorporate my massage knowledge and trainings and assistant them in the areas they really need focus on, whether it’s strengthen a muscle group or working on balance, is really rewarding to help people in this way.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Voyager did a previous article on me last year, about a month after taking over ownership. I went in depth then about my personal health challenges I faced growing up with an autoimmune and other conditions. I’ll say again here, this is what really motivated me to help people in this way because I know first hand what it’s like to live with chronic illness. I love working with people going through rehab as well, whether it’s from surgery or injury.
Last year, in 2025, when I took over the business, it was a lot of work, and being the sole owner/operator is a lot of work, but I truly love it. I am blessed to have a supportive partner, family, and friends to keep me going.

As you know, we’re big fans of Be Here Now Massage Yoga Bodywork. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Be Here Now Massage Yoga Bodywork is a massage therapy and Thai bodywork office that provides private and small group yoga classes as well. We are located at 212 S Mason Street in Old Town Fort Collins. I am certified in Thai massage, prenatal massage, reflexology, and manual lymph drainage. I also provide traditional style deep Swedish/deep tissue massage, TMJ intraoral massage, pediatric massage, and hot stones. I am a registered 500hr yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance and I offer one on one, small group, and combination bodywork/yoga classes. Our other amazing therapist is Brianna Roybal, she graduated from massage school in 2025 and has continued her education this year getting certified in Thai massage and Tok Sen. She offers Swedish/deep tissue styles, hot stones, prenatal, and Thai/Tok Sen massage.
I think what sets us apart is that we are a small office that really focuses on each individual client. I love that we offer many types of therapies including Thai bodywork, which is really a fun and unique experience. They call it “Lazy man’s yoga” in Thailand because you get to just lie there and we move you around in yoga like stretches, incorporating acupressure as well. It quite nice! Our yoga stands apart because instead of being a traditional yoga studio, we treat our classes like a therapeutic session to complement the massage work, and offering combination classes – like Yin Yoga & Thai Massage class, is really a treat!
