Meet Lee Rosen of Breathwork with lee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee Rosen.

Hi Lee, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
For much of my career, I led teams in the software industry that created technology solutions for medical professionals. When I retired from Microsoft in 2024, I knew my passion was still centered on helping people thrive. I just wanted to do it in a more direct, human way.

Alongside my tech career, I spent almost 20 years on a personal growth journey. I participated on men’s teams, served as a men’s leadership trainer across the US and Canada, and became a life coach. That work taught me what it truly takes to lead with authenticity, cultivate resilience, and break through personal barriers. I learned to find my voice, express myself and guide others.

Breathwork became the natural next step on my path, a bridge between personal growth and deeper healing. Experiencing it firsthand transformed my life. It got me out of my head and into my heart, allowing me to live far more intuitively from my spirit. This somatic work led me to heal many areas from my past. The experience was so profound, I’m called to bring this work to others.

Today, my mission is to create nurturing spaces for others to rediscover their power, heal, and find quiet clarity. Drawing from both my leadership background and my somatic breathwork training, I guide individuals and groups through sessions designed to meet them exactly where they are, whether they are seeking stress relief, emotional processing, or personal transformation.

Based in Berthoud, I’m deeply grateful to bring this work to our Northern Colorado community through group and one-on-one sessions. When I’m not facilitating, you can usually find me outdoors, hiking, capturing nature through my lens, writing, and drawing energy from the beauty of Colorado. Staying active, grounded, and embracing my own edge in nature keeps me inspired to guide others on their journeys.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of my biggest challenges was transitioning from a long career in software engineering, a world dominated by logic, planning, and analytical thinking, to heart-centered somatic work. For decades, my mind was my primary tool for navigating life and solving problems. Learning to quiet the noise in my head, move into my body, and trust my intuition wasn’t a sudden shift; it took time, deep self-reflection, and a willingness to sit with discomfort. It’s still a work in progress.

Stepping away from a familiar corporate identity at Microsoft to launch something deeply personal came with real vulnerability. It might sound like a small thing, but changing my LinkedIn profile to “Breathwork Facilitator” took me a full week. I kept thinking about hundreds of engineers and leaders seeing that update and having the exact same skeptical thoughts I would’ve had a decade ago. Building this practice meant stepping up to my own edge, putting myself out there in a whole new way, and being seen.

Because I spent decades in high-level software leadership, I understand the analytical mind. I know what it feels like to rely solely on logic. This allows me to bridge the gap for skeptics, corporate teams, and high-performers who want to drop into their bodies but don’t know how to turn off the mental chatter.

It also requires doing the inner work, uncovering the places in my own life and body that still needed healing. It takes courage to continually explore our inner world, so continuing my own self-work remains a high priority.

The road hasn’t been about avoiding friction but rather learning to treat every barrier as an invitation to lean in, stay grounded, and live more fully from the heart. It takes trust and surrender. Every time I facilitate a session, whether for groups, men’s circles, or one-on-one, I find that whatever surfaces for a participant is exactly what needs to be met. There’s nothing wrong with any of it.

We’ve been impressed with Breathwork with lee, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What I Do & What I Specialize In:
My practice, Breathwork with Lee, offers somatic breathwork sessions designed to move people past energy blocks, stuck emotions, past traumas, and mental chatter to reconnect with their bodies, intuition, and spirit. I specialize in guiding conscious connected breathwork for individuals, coed groups, and dedicated men’s circles. My work focuses on creating a safe container for people to access and release deeply buried emotions, integrate past experiences clearing the way for more freedom in their lives. A typical session begins with conversation around what’s surfacing, going a bit deeper, and then letting the breath guide the way. When the mind relaxes during breathwork, the body, emotions, and spirit take center stage, and that’s where true healing happens. I also team up with my lovely niece Stephanie Santos-Grant for Group breathwork and Reiki sessions. She adds a wonderful dimension to the event. These sessions typically sell out quickly.

What Sets Me Apart
I bring a strong balance of grounded masculine and nurturing feminine energy, allowing both men and women to feel truly cared for and held in my groups or one-on-one sessions. I have deep trust in the wisdom of the breath, and I hold space in a way that empowers clients to heal themselves. My goal is always self-sufficiency of the client, so I know when to offer support and when to let someone discover their own strength. I meet people right at their edge with zero judgment—just presence, heart, and deep respect for the courage it takes to step into the unknown. Combined with my background in men’s leadership facilitation, I create an environment that feels stable and structured while remaining open to deep emotional and spiritual transformation.

What I’m Most Proud Of
I’m most proud of the trust and safety built into my practice. Whether someone is completely new to breathwork or has years of experience, they know they’re walking into a grounded, intentional space where they can safely let down their guard. I am dedicated to showing up with complete authenticity. It is the foundation of everything I offer. Additionally, the client is fully in charge of their journey. Their healing is on their timeline—to go as far as they are willing and ready to go. Finally, while this work can bring up old wounds and traumas, I strive to bring a light heart, a smile, and a sense of humor to this path.

What Readers Should Know
I offer personalized one-on-one sessions and group breathwork journeys in Berthoud and Northern Colorado, as well as virtually over Zoom. I also facilitate breathwork and customized experiential training for corporate groups, teams, and retreats.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
I’ve learned that my mind, the very tool I relied on for decades to figure everything out, isn’t the right tool for this work. It’s great for making appointments, arriving on time, getting directions, and having a plan but when holding space for someone’s healing, different tools are needed.

In this work, when I allow my heart and spirit to come through, along with the breath, the door opens for healing to happen. After a lifetime of counting on my mind to solve every problem, it finally gets to take some time off.
