Community Highlights: Meet Levi Wait of Drift Colorado/Revolution chiropractic/3 series parts

Today we’d like to introduce you to Levi Wait.

Hi Levi , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Basically I was a driver to start with. I had done competitive Drag Racing, Auto-X, road racing, and some fun Drift events in the late 90’s early 2000’s. In 2009 I returned to CO after getting my Doctorate in Chiropractics and attended a Drift Colorado event. I fell in love with the people and how welcoming they were. It was a start difference from the other forms of motorsports I had been involved with. I basically attended every single drift event in CO for the next three years. I arrived early to help setup and stayed late to help tear down. Due to competing Drift organizations and changes in the economy, both organizations stopped hosting events. For two years (mid 2013 to mid 15) there was basically no organized events or places to drift legally. I reached out to the three gentleman that ran the Drift Colorado events and I stated that I would like to start hosting events. They were very happy to hand me the “keys” to bring drifting back to life in CO. With their blessings I started using my connections in the Road Race community and track management to host events throughout CO. Now we have well over 200 local drivers and a very large competitive group here. Drift Colorado is just beginning and we will continue to grow and expand. Along with hosting local events I have been racing professionally with Formula Drift this season. I run the Drift Doctor program in FD.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Finding insurance has always been the challenge. Fortunately I have a good friend from GO 4 IT racing schools that help co-sign on an insurance policy my first year. So that was the start. Then daily insurance rates got as bad as $3500 per day and it made it a money losing business. During Covid we had to navigate all the local restrictions etc to stay legal on top of rising costs.

Locations are also becoming an issue due to growing neighborhoods and closing race tracks.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Drift Colorado is the premier Drift organization in CO. We host everything from drift clinics to full on Formula Drift Licensing series Pro-AM competitions. If its drifting in or around CO we are involved.

Revolution Chiropractic is my “day job” . I own and operate a single DC practice in Arvada. I run an old school no insurance hands on format where client happiness is more important than overall profits.

3 Series parts is my BMW business. We specialize in E36 and E46 (1992-2005 3series BMW). We do service, sales, and used parts. BMWs have been my passion hobby for 20+ years and finally just made a business out of it.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Most people in the car side of my life are surprised Im a chiropractor and most of my patients are surprised that Im a professional Drifter in Formula Drift.

Also, I spent 2 years as a professional yo-yoer lol. (I co-owned a kiosk in the mall in which I sold yo-yos and instructed the skill on how to do tricks etc.) Most people find that interesting
