Today we’d like to introduce you to Maggie Sandoval.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hello, my name is Maggie Sandoval. I am a certified Usui and Violet Flame Reiki Master Teacher with over 10 years of experience. I received my First and Second Degree Reiki attunements in Leadville, Colorado, from my Master Reiki/Shaman Teacher, Sheila Seppi, and completed my Master Attunement in Boulder, Colorado, with my Master Teacher, Meggin Sessions. I am also attuned in Shamballa Reiki Levels I & II and am a certified Soul Success Unleashed Practitioner.
I discovered Reiki when I went to see a holistic healer for my GI issues. She sent me Reiki and I was amazed at how all of my energy seemed to turn on and buzz. It was at that moment that I knew I had to learn how to send Reiki to myself and others.
Through my practice, Healing from Within, my intention is to guide energy throughout the body to support each client’s — human or four-legged — natural self-healing abilities, and to live the Reiki principles wholeheartedly every day.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a bumpy ride. Because of my strong empathic ability I had high anxiety and lots of GI issues. I knew I was different and would become overwhelmed with my abilities. I tried to shut them out but never succeeded. I finally grew to accept, appreciate and discover my strengths and utilize them in helping others.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Healing from Within is my energy healing practice, based in Longmont and now an LLC. I offer in-person and distance Reiki, animal Reiki, intuitive guidance, animal communication, energy scans, chakra checks, and EFT.
What sets my work apart is that it is personal. I work one-to-one, I listen, and I follow up — I check in with clients the day after a session, because the work doesn’t end when the appointment does. My animal Reiki and animal communication work also grew naturally out of my years working closely with dogs, so clients who love their animals find a practitioner who understands that bond.
What I’m most proud of, brand wise, is that Healing from Within has stayed warm, earthy, peaceful, and authentic — exactly what I set out to build. I want readers to know that you don’t have to be ‘spiritual’ in any particular way to benefit from slowing down, receiving, and reconnecting with yourself. My door is open.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Knowing how someone was feeling before they said anything at all. Gut instinct.
