Today we’d like to introduce you to Elle Green.
Hi Elle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started with Poetry and a family full of people that loved R&B! I always loved music so I did Choir, Orchestra and Acting throughout School. I performed at my first show with original music at 18. The Roxy was my first venue and from there I’ve met amazing people in my field and created a lot of memories.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, I don’t think anything worth having comes easier so it’s fitting. On top of having to learn the business side and being my own manager, you also have to utilize discernment and make sure your connections are genuine. Just like everything, there are pros and cons to networking.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Lyricist, Event Planner, and Content Creator. I started with singing and rapping, then began to expand a few years ago. I am just proud of being able to create opportunities for myself and others. I truly believe in lifting people up and bringing our community together.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Just keep swimming. I’m still looking for the dawn after darkness for myself, but with perseverance, I’m sure we’ll all find it.
