Meet Anna Kayfitz of Arriving In High Heels

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Kayfitz.

Hi Anna, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
The Travel App, started when I wanted to map where I’ve been. I could not find a place to track all my travels, at that point, it was close to 50 and I had a travel goal of seeing 50 countries. The app was later developed to include a city map to get a deeper view of where one has been and wants to visit.

We also added travel lists to keep track of famous places seen such as art museums and ski locations. My professional career was dealing with data, so the app is very data-driven from telling users how far they are in the travel journey to sharing data on the most visited places or countries.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No road is simple, I believe in hard work and success will follow. We had struggled on budget and being a small team we do not have the luxury of moving fast or growing the app as fast as other investor-backed apps do. We also realized early on that there will be unhappy customers regardless of the product. Disputed territories are a great example, we allow users to choose where a region should belong.

However, even that is not always a good response as a few users think it should default to their choice. We never thought that a travel app would become political. Another challenge we had along the way is competitors who were and still are copying features and ideas months after we launch a new feature.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Arriving In High Heels Corporation is a mobile app development company with a few apps, the most famous one being Visited. Visited has over 1.5 million international travelers. Visited lets users map where they have been, see personal travel stats, and select famous sites from over 100 different travel lists which are categorized. Example of travel lists includes Ski Location, world wonders, top beaches, Ancient sites, Art Museums, and Family destinations to name a few.

The lists are sorted by popularity and we provide stats on your selection and how it compares to the top 10 based on our user selection. We publish on visitedapp.com the top 10 travel lists by categories for those that want to see the top 10 lists based on actual data and not a journalist’s take on the category. We are hoping that our inspiration section which allows users to swipe beautiful travel photos to add to their bucket lists, the travel lists and travel goal features will inspire people to travel around the world.
