Meet Carrie Donatelli of Peak Business Group in Littleton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carrie Donatelli.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Carrie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve done a lot in my career, over the past 20 years. From retail to construction cost management, and the part I always enjoy is helping others! Over the past ten years, I’ve mainly worked in operations management, and I started thinking ‘I bring a smile to my job every day and that’s kind of uncommon where this type of work is concerned.’ I found that people wanted to work with me because they know I want to help them. And because of this, I began laying the footwork to start my own business. I’ve taken a break from the corporate world to concentrate on my family and 4-year-old daughter. I love my life and do not have any desire to go back to an office job. I want to work on my terms and have the flexibility to be able to enjoy my life and family.

This is how and why Peak Business Group has become a reality! I’m offering services that I have years of experience in, including payroll, bookkeeping, HR and more. I’m helping other business owners! And I’m loving every minute of it!

What makes Peak different is that I’m a one-woman show. I’m not a huge company and don’t intend to become one. I will contract work as necessary, but my clients get one-on-one attention from me. They don’t have to guess what’s going on. My clients know that they are valued and that they are my business. Whatever I’m doing, client service is #1 with Peak Business Group.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve had a few ups and downs. I offer free consultations and I’ve had that taken advantage of several times. It’s disappointing, but not a game ender for me. I believe I’m doing exactly what I should be doing and I will continue offering free consults. Perhaps I won’t hand out as much detailed advice, but I want my clients to trust me and I believe they should know me and know who they’ll be working with.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Peak Business Group – what should we know?
Peak Business Group offers back-office and operational services, for other small business owners. I specialize in LLC’s, and women-owned businesses, but I love working with all kinds of entrepreneurs.

Specifically, Peak offers bookkeeping, payroll, business insurance setup, 401k/retirement programs, HR and confidentiality. Let’s face it, these are the things that keep business owners away from doing what they love. Of all the entrepreneurs I’ve spoken to, NONE of them love bookkeeping. Or any of the services I offer. Tax time has everyone grinding their teeth. And if I can help other business owners sleep easier and stress less, I’m happy!

I have a Master’s degree in Public Administration and 12 years of experience in cost controls, budgeting, HR and payroll. Using my skills to help others has always been my mission. With Peak Business Group, I can help other businesses run at their ‘Peak’ performance, pun intended ;).

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
My determination and strong work ethic will help me immensely. If someone tells me I can’t do something, I do it and take pictures for them. ‘I can’t’ has never been in my vocabulary and I’m teaching my daughter to never confuse ‘I can’t’ with ‘I don’t want to’.

I am also in love with the art of serving. If I can help another human in any given day, I’m happy.

My strive to serve and determination to provide exemplary services will most definitely set Peak Business Group apart from other similar companies. I will succeed as long as I hold those qualities near.
