Hi Trevor, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My story is one that began with a love for helping others realize their full potential. As a coach for agents, I found the intersection of my passion for real estate, my affinity for teaching, my knack for building strong relationships, and my love for technology. These forces converged to help me see how I can use technology to help empower agents to excel in their careers.
After five years as a real estate agent, the 2020 pandemic was a complete upheaval. I embarked on a new path, helping Coldwell Banker Realty in Colorado implement an in-office coaching program, where I worked with agents directly for months.
This transition proved pivotal as it set the stage for my journey with Zillow Homes, where I sold over 150 homes in the Denver area in just a few short months. Eventually, the desire to make a more profound impact led to the founding of Modern Agent Coaching. This venture was founded on individualized lead generation strategies and accountability coaching – the bedrock of my approach to guiding agents toward igniting their businesses.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I took a bold step into the entrepreneurial realm, establishing Modern Agent. As the Founder & CEO, my dedication was singular – to guide Realtors and agents toward igniting their businesses to adapt to modern times. The journey hasn’t been easy, but my unwavering commitment to seeing others’ success has fueled my drive.
Helping others and finding an agent has been tough. I think there is a lot of noise in the real estate coaching sphere — many folks haven’t necessarily sold a home or know what it takes.
Cutting through that noise has been difficult. When working with agents, they are (rightfully) skeptical of folks trying to poach their hard-earned commission dollars. I’ve found that establishing my brand and my credibility through Linkedin, testimonials, and continuing to grow my knowledge and authority in the field has helped tremendously.
Beyond my role as a coach, I became a Content Writer at The Close. My mission expanded to providing actionable strategies and insights for real estate professionals, contributing to their growth and success.

I am also a Content Writer for The Close, so my days are spent researching new products and technologies that help agents in their business.
Strengths such as strategic thinking, determination, and adaptability have been my guiding compass. Adapting to the ever-evolving nature of the real estate industry, I help agents embrace change and harness new technologies as tools for success.
My diverse background in real estate, marketing, and advertising have provided me with the knowledge that agents need to succeed in today’s modern market. I’m proud to have represented the LGBTQ Real Estate Alliance in 2021 as the Colorado Chapter President, and housing advocacy for the community is extremely important to me.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
To me, it’s about the pursuit rather than the destination. Success is a mountain with no summit.
I believe to become successful, you have to see what is important to you and make your life reflect that. I want to achieve several things in my career, including publishing a book and doing a motivational speech.
However, at its heart, success is about feeling the “flow state,” and doing what you can to achieve that as often as possible.
