Hi Nyteisha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
As a daughter of The King and a woman of God, I navigated life wearing many hats – a woman, a mother, a friend, a girlfriend, and an employee, among others. In the whirlwind of these roles, I found myself performing, constantly striving to meet the myriad expectations attached to each title. This relentless performance led me to a place where my authentic self was overshadowed by the tasks and responsibilities I shouldered. I lost sight of my true identity in the midst of serving others, hiding behind a façade of duty and obligation.
But then, there was a turning point. Exhausted and yearning for something more profound, I began to see my faith not as a checklist of duties, but as a living, breathing relationship. I embarked on a journey to rediscover my identity, not in the roles I played or the tasks I performed, but in my relationship with God. This shift transformed my understanding of faith from a mere obligation to a source of strength and authenticity. It was in this spiritual awakening that I found the courage to be my true self, unburdened by the expectations of others and deeply connected to my divine purpose.” Losing my job, in 2020 gave me the courage to step out to help other women heal and desire to explore their authentic selves.
My story is a beautiful narrative now of how I moved from a life of performing in various roles to one where my faith became the foundation of my authentic self. This transformation not only changed my life but also motivated me to support other women in their journeys towards self-discovery. It’s a story of resilience, faith, and the power of embracing one’s true identity.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. Like most journeys of self-discovery and personal growth, there were likely several challenges and struggles along the way. My story has its highlights and a spiritual awakening, but I have faced various challenges:
Self-doubt: Embarking on the journey to discover my identity, with questions and decisions to make, was very daunting.
Financial and Practical Challenges: Losing my job in 2020 brought financial difficulties, making it hard to pursue my newfound mission at Thrive Studios LLC, where I aim to help others.
Fear of change: Change can be frightening, especially when you’re used to the familiar.
Inner conflicts: I encountered inner conflicts when understanding my faith and values.
Loneliness: Many times, as I walked this journey, I felt isolated. Also, being around others who I didn’t believe had its challenges as well. However, having faith, a spiritual mentor like Tiffany James, a therapist, family, and friends has been a source of support.
Balancing responsibilities: Juggling different roles, such as being a mother, while going through self-discovery, can be challenging. It’s like putting a bandage on a wound and taking it off repeatedly until I truly begin to choose healing.
Continuing to strive and overcome these challenges played a significant role in shaping my character and determination to help other women heal and find their authentic selves.
We’ve been impressed with Thrive Studios LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Thrive Studios LLC, led by Nyteisha Nicole, is an empowerment studio for women, focusing on self-discovery, personal growth, and emotional and spiritual healing. It’s a space where women from diverse backgrounds can engage, equip, and empower themselves. The studio offers programs and events covering personal development and professional growth. Nyteisha Nicole, a mentor, spiritual speaker, and Christian life coach, guides women in their faith and life challenges, combining spiritual teachings with motivational messages. Thrive Studios stands out for its commitment to empowering women and helping them regain their choice and sense of self.
Thrive Studios LLC offers two specialized programs for women. The “EmpowerHer Community Program” is tailored for organizations aiding women in low-income housing, focusing on holistic support encompassing mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. This program integrates faith to help women find purpose and hope. The “EmpowerHer Faith Program” caters to Christian women seeking a deeper relationship with God. It offers personalized coaching to aid in spiritual growth, aligning life with God’s purpose, and achieving a fulfilling life. Both programs emphasize empowerment, resilience, and purposeful living.
Nyteisha, in addition to her work at Thrive Studios LLC, holds a full-time position as a Homeless Case Manager in Northern Virginia. Her experience of over three years in this role, combined with her service as a Housing Board Member, underscores her dedication to supporting homeless families and addressing community needs in a meaningful way.
Any big plans?
My plans include developing connections with local homeless shelters for women and children and establishing a bridge to provide comprehensive support.
The key initiative is a 6-month case management program aimed at fostering self-sufficiency among families, to prevent them from re-entering the homelessness system. This ambitious project involves assembling a skilled team and securing funding. The program’s core is a 7-step approach to assist low-income women in becoming self-sufficient, addressing their emotional, physical, financial, and spiritual needs, and equipping them to implement ideas and function independently.
Long with my overall goal includes establishing a physical empowerment studio venue to serve women in the community in various ways. This studio would be a dedicated space for programs and events, enhancing the impact of your initiatives focused on personal development, spiritual growth, and holistic support.
