Thanks so much for joining us today. We’re excited for our readers to learn more about Author Joni Franks. Kick things off for us – what should they know?
I am an international award-winning author. My books have earned bestseller status and have won over fifty literary honors, including the prestigious Moms Choice Award, the American Fiction Award, and the International Readers Favorite Award. I am dedicated to making a positive difference in the world through my book series, I address timely subjects like equality, conservation, uncovering one’s life purpose, and recognizing that all beings are created equal. I draw inspiration from the magnificent beauty of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains where I live. Spending time in the high mountain meadows and the unseen and overlooked spaces of the Western landscape offers me the ability to create stories that are changing the world one heart at a time.
Can you go more in depth about your process and or what you feel sets your business apart from others. What else should we know?
To date, I have twelve published books. One thing most people don’t know is that I also create the artwork for the book illustrations. Generally, I create the artwork before the story is conceived. When I have the finished image, I place it in front of me for inspiration. This enables me to give the characters a voice. The same goes for the setting. Once I have created the landscape imagery, I can begin to describe in words the place where the story is set.
