Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Axelson.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Nicole. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my fitness journey back in 2014 after suffering from an eating disorder since I was 14 years old. I desperately wanted to educate myself on how to be the strongest and best version of me possible. I became an online coach in 2017 and thrive off of inspiring other women to get rid of food guilt, fad dieting, and the scale and truly embrace their curves and who they are!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It isn’t always easy having confidence in yourself as a business owner. It’s easy to question yourself and doubt yourself however the only way to succeed is to be ok with failure. There is no rule book on how to become successful, you just have to learn from every step you make!
Please tell us more about what you do, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am an Online Personal Trainer and I help women all around the world learn how to fuel their bodies and become stronger versions of themselves.
Instead of focusing on weight loss, I like to have my clients focus on how their bodies feel. Our bodies are extremely intelligent and just want to be listened to. By listening to our bodies and educating ourselves on how-how to become stronger, fitter versions of ourselves, we are unstoppable!
Looking back on your childhood, what experiences do you feel played an important role in shaping the person you grew up to be?
Growing up, I had extremely low confidence. I struggled with an eating disorder and a verbally abusive relationship that forced me to really hate myself for years.
I do what I do because I know I am not alone. I want to show women that we are our own best friends.
