Today we’d like to introduce you to Vida Elekovic
Hi Vida, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my first business two years ago with some friends, and although we went our separate ways, the business we created has led me to my current company Meon Neon. We started a head shop called Sky High Smoke in July of 2023. About a year later my partner Noah and I decided to start our custom neon sign company Meon Neon. Although i still run both companies, Meon Neon is my passion and what I really enjoy doing. We have a team of about 10 people now and are rapidly growing.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I wouldn’t really call it “a smooth road”. I had no idea what i was doing and am still learning more every day. The biggest struggle has probably been learning the right way to lead. I have employees at the smoke shop and a growing team at meon where it is crucial to give the right support and guidance.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Meon Neon is a custom neon sign company. We do all types of signage but specialize in custom LED neon signs. We have better pricing and quicker lead time than other neon sign companies. We also offer a lot of hands on support and really pride ourselves in our customs process experience. Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Just keep going, everything always levels out and works out just fine in the end. I wish i was a little less naive and ignorant. I still have SO much to learn.
