We’re looking forward to introducing you to Michelle Vos. Check out our conversation below.
Michelle, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
You know what’s still misunderstood about life coaching? People think it’s about giving advice, making vision boards, or just being a really good listener. Like it’s some cute little hobby for women who love a good inspirational quote.
But real coaching—especially the kind I do—isn’t about advice at all. It’s not therapy. And it’s definitely not about “fixing” anyone.
It’s a powerful, strategic, and deeply transformational process that helps people see their blind spots, break out of self-sabotage, and step into embodied way of living your life. It about tapping into your own wisdom and cultivating that. Most of us are not taught by our parents, schools or churches to trust ourselves. We have grown up and live in a society that fosters and even demands that power resides outside of us. What people often miss is that coaching isn’t just about helping someone “feel better.” It’s about helping them become better leaders in their own lives. And when that happens? It ripples into everything—their families, their businesses, their communities, and beyond.
Coaching is a calling, it is sacred work and a real business that deserves to be seen and respected as such.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Michelle Vos—a certified Life and Business Coach, embodiment teacher, retreat facilitator, and speaker. I support high-achieving, service-driven women—coaches, healers, leaders, and entrepreneurs—who are ready to move beyond burnout, perfectionism, and self-doubt so they can lead from a place of deep alignment, clarity, and presence.
My work is rooted in both strategy and soul. I combine transformational coaching with embodiment practices, energy leadership tools, and conscious business principles to help women not just do more, but actually become who they were meant to be—without sacrificing their wellbeing, authenticity, or feminine wisdom.
What makes my brand unique is the depth and integration I offer. This isn’t a surface-level “positivity” approach. I hold space for profound shifts—mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and somatically—while also helping my clients take clear, grounded action toward their goals. My retreats and private coaching containers are sacred spaces where real transformation happens, and where women feel deeply seen, supported, and empowered.
Currently, I’m working on expanding my in-person offerings—including my next Sedona retreat—and deepening my one-on-one coaching work with visionary women who are stepping into a new level of leadership and impact.
At its heart, my business is about liberation. I believe when women are fully in their power—when they trust their voice, honor their body, and lead from their intuition—the ripple effect is extraordinary.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that has served its purpose—and that I’m continuously being invited to release—is the part that feels she has to prove herself in order to belong, be respected, or be seen as “legit” in the business world as I step into working LESS. As a 55 year old woman I am interested more in Art, Dance, friendships and much less about networking, public speaking, or running programs.
I’ve spent years navigating the tension between being deeply intuitive, spiritual, and feminine—and also being wildly capable, strategic, and a business owner who made lot’s of money. For the last year or so I have had a lingering feeling of “less than” because I paired my business model way down. I no longer run with the big dogs as they say. And I don’t care. It is time I fully release any old ideas of what being a successful business women means.
But here’s what I know now: The women I serve are craving depth, embodiment, and authenticity—not perfection or performance. And the more I trust my being over my doing, the more potent my work becomes. My clients get the transformation they are seeking.
So yes—I’m releasing the part of me that hustled for validation. She got me far. She built the foundations. But she’s tired. And honestly? She was never meant to lead.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You don’t have to become anything to be worthy of love, rest, or belonging. You already are. The world may not always mirror your magic back to you, but don’t you dare forget who you are. The very parts you’re tempted to hide—your sensitivity, your fire, your intuition—are the keys to your power. Trust them. Trust yourself. You’re not too much. You’re medicine.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What truths are so foundational in your life that you rarely articulate them?
One foundational truth I rarely articulate is how essential embodiment is to my survival and leadership—specifically through ecstatic and conscious dance. As a teen, I was overwhelmed by the intensity of being an empath in a world that didn’t quite understand what that meant. Dance saved my life. It was the sacred container where I could release what words couldn’t hold, feel my emotions fully, and reconnect to my body as a source of wisdom and power—not pain.
That practice became, and still is, my lifeline. Moving through conscious embodiment weekly keeps me grounded and deeply resourced, so I can hold space for others without sacrificing myself. It’s how I regulate my energy, clear emotional clutter, and tap into my fullest presence.
The truth is: leadership and healing don’t come just from the mind or strategy; they come from being deeply embodied. My body is the compass I trust when the world feels overwhelming—and that’s a truth I don’t say often, but one I live by every day.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m fully immersed in nature—especially in places like Sedona, where the earth’s energy feels alive and sacred beneath my feet. There’s something profound about being surrounded by ancient red rocks, open skies, and the quiet hum of the natural world that instantly grounds me and reminds me of the bigger picture.
And my yard. Gardening, talking care of the flowers, fountain, and such. It is the little things that bring such peace.
In those moments, I can slow down, breathe deeply, and feel myself dissolve into the rhythm of the earth. It’s a reminder that I am part of something vast and timeless, that my worries, my busy mind, and even my ego are just small things.
