Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Taylor.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Brian. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My story is a bit of a tall tale. Every bit of it is true though.
I came from a small town in the backwoods of Alabama. My childhood was a very rough and saturated with physical, mental, and emotional abuse. It was the kind of upbringing that would see me kicked out of my home in my midteens and dealing with those scars for the rest of my life.
I wasn’t allowed to discover who I was as a kid. That restriction led to me spending the next 20 years trying to figure it out. I have been so many things in my life from a martial artist to an author, and a thousand things in between.
This carnal craving to discover exactly what I was led to a rather peculiar discovery. You see, in my quest to become something better than what I was told I would become (a complete failure) I wound up becoming something far more powerful.
I am an Autodidactic Polymath. In English that means I can teach myself to do anything and I am a collector of skill. But, those of us that are APs don’t fall into the category described by that old saying…
Skilled in all, master of none.
Nope. We have the unique ability to bring or past knowledge of any skill and quickly translate it into the current skill we are learning.
Currently, I am forcing all of my energy into the story I am telling. It’s called The Most Amazing Story Ever. I am delivering this fictional tale through the power of sound and the written word.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Nope. It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. I personally feel like all the obstacle that were available have been put in my path. As an innovator, I have encountered so many bumps along the way. Everything from not having cash to afford the simply solutions to any of my problems, to actually having physical limitations.
But these problems have all caused me to grow and become way more powerful.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with The Most Amazing Story Ever – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am telling a tale called The Most Amazing Story Ever.
This is a fiction podcast that delivers a new episode every Monday. It is a powerful story that follows a broke and broken young man named Sam, as he goes through the process of becoming God Almighty. It is an emotional whirlwind of a story that is full of violence, loss, and redemption.
This story is different in so many ways from other tales. It uses sound to really engage the listener. Through a well timed and orchestrated soundtrack I am able to pull the listener in and provoke an emotional response that allows them to suspend their disbelief. Through the use of strategically placed sound effects, I can make the listener focus their imagination on very specific parts of the story, allowing me to weave a much more intricate tale.
I think the thing that makes this podcast stand out from other fictional podcasts is the level of audio production and the depth of the writing. We have purposely stayed away from voice acting. We found that it dramatically lowered the quality of the story. This was a tough call as I am a voice actor myself.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My number one goal is to break the 500k listener mark. We can begin to do amazing things at 30k listeners. Once we reach 10k, we can begin using this for revenue generation.
