Community Highlights: Meet Jacqueline Kelly of Kelly Performance and Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Kelly.

Hi Jacqueline, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m Jacqueline Kelly, and I understand the power of breaking through self-imposed limitations because I’ve been there myself. As a former NCAA basketball player, I pushed my physical limits on the court. Despite my success, I battled with self-doubt and sometimes felt like my own worst enemy. Deep down, I knew I was capable of so much more, but I needed the proper support to unlock my true potential.
This was a pivotal moment in my life. I found my passion lay not only in enhancing physical performance but also in mastering the mental game. I pursued a master’s degree in Sport Psychology and gathered over 20 years of diverse experience working with Big 10 football teams, professional athletes, executives, and individuals just like you. My goal? To help others conquer the mental hurdles that stand in their way, just as I did.
I am driven by a deep-seated commitment to making a difference in people’s lives. I want to help change the world by changing the lives of the people I get to work with.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but I don’t think it’s meant to be. My biggest struggle was unlearning the ‘win-at-all-costs’ mentality that often leaves players burnt out or hollow. Early on, I faced pushback for prioritizing player happiness and ‘wholeness.’ People equate ‘happy’ with ‘soft,’ but I had to stay the course to prove the opposite: The happiest athletes are actually the hardest to beat. The struggle was to build a culture where we could be elite and suffer less.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Kelly Performance and Wellness?
Kelly Performance and Wellness is built on a simple, radical belief: The happiest athletes are the hardest to beat. We aren’t a traditional ‘grind-style’ training organization. We focus on the ‘Total Best Self’—integrating elite sports science with psychological wholeness. We believe that if you develop the person, the player becomes unstoppable.
We specialize in Holistic High Performance. While we do high-level physical conditioning, our ‘secret sauce’ is Brain Endurance Training (BET) and Cognitive Load Management. We help athletes find their IZOF (Individual Zone of Optimal Functioning) so they can perform with precision when the pressure is highest. We are known for bridging the gap between physical ‘beasts’ and mental ‘architects.’
I am most proud of my Unfragile Virtual Program. It was born of a desire to make the elite tools I use with professional soccer teams accessible to everyone. To be ‘Unfragile’ isn’t just about being strong; it’s about being adaptable. It’s a program that teaches you how to maintain your ‘Total Best Self’ regardless of the environment. Seeing athletes shift from being ‘brittle’ under pressure to being ‘unfragile’ in their life and sport is my most outstanding achievement.
I want everyone to know that they can suffer less!

To be honest, I’m just a collection of every person I’ve ever crossed paths with. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it forever: everyone I’ve worked with has a piece of my success.
