Meet Orly Eisbart of Orly Marcel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Orly Eisbart.

Orly, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Growing up in Israel as a child, I was always really inspired by such a passionate culture dripping with all types of spiritualities.  After moving to the United States at age 11, my Father Marcel – who was a well-known furniture designer – began working in the Jewelry industry.  Inspired by his artisan spirit – I studied Textile Design and Fine Arts. While studying design – I discovered another calling- Meditation and Yoga. Several years later, my Father got ill with Cancer and I left my Design job in NYC moving back to be with my family in Miami. After his passing – I went deeper into the healing arts to become a yoga teacher and massage therapist. After many years of raising four wonderful children (and one husband and a dog).   I began to truly listen to my inner voice and need for self-actualization.  Orly Marcel is a culmination and calling of all that is important to me.  A spiritually-inspired fine-Jewelry line.  Inspired by my family, Yoga and meditation studies and my love for design and beauty.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
While certain aspects of building a business from scratch have come naturally (design, material selection, operations) – others, have stretched me out of my comfort zone (pricing, social media, marketing, selling).

The challenges associated with “figuring it out” have been many; however – each new struggle has provided a learning experience which has been priceless. The constant learning and growing – has been as gratifying as any commercial success so far.

Orly Marcel – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Much like the jewelry itself, the name “Orly Marcel” was chosen to act as a constant reminder of what is truly important. My father Marcel was an artisanal craftsman from Tel Aviv who prided himself on his work and challenged me to remain forever curious. OM Jewels is proud to be a woman-created / woman-owned Jewelry Startup founded in a spirit of empowerment, beauty, femininity, and purpose.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
While I have experienced many proud moments thus far (such as being sold at my all-time favorite Cherry Creek Boutique Bloom; being mentioned by celebrities on Social Media (@OrlyMarcel); or selling my first Buddha Pendent) – my proudest moments are when my daughters tell me how proud they are of me for envisioning an idea and actually making it a reality. Being able to model for my girls that strong women can create strong businesses of meaning and purpose makes all the hard work, endless hours, and struggle so worth it.
